Quick Vids:

Great work!

Grad being out is giving a longer look @ #3QB and Landry is probably not going to survive this time...people are being cautious with their comments and I like to hear Moats say he's the man, but Dupree is impressing folks in camp...if he keep this up they will have to find snaps for him on DEF.

Couldn't agree more!

QB depth... Pretty much a gaurantee at this point that Landry is shoved out the door. He's been getting picked off left & right at camp so far. Tajh Boyd has been dropping dimes in the endzone. Makes the decision pretty damn clear cut for Colbert & Tomlin. We have yet to see a whole lot from Gardner at QB, so I'm thinking they planned for Landry & Boyd to open up camp and Gardner & Murphy will start getting there reps behind center at some point. Bruce has me worried. A vet with arm fatigue coming off of the offseason is never a good sign. His offseason conditioning has to raise some eyebrows with that. But hopefully its just a precaution as always.

OLBs... Been hearing a lot of great things about Moats & Dupree. Should be interesting to see how the snap counts shake out for them. I've also been reading that our old preseason hero HOJO is making a few waves. Curious as to what Lemon has been doing or if he has even suited up yet. He started off on the PUP, but he wasn't listed there yesterday? Might have been an oversight because I'm pretty sure he didn't practice once again. Did you watch the backs on backers video? Jarvis made my boy Harris look like he was still in high school lol. Harris is easily the strongest of the RBs so he is going to have to step it up in that drill.

Spence vs. D-Will

"While accounts will vary from players to reporters, it appeared the defenders got the better of the running backs and tight ends, but the highlight came when DeAngelo Williams knocked Sean Spence on his butt.

Spence got up, demanding a re-match, to which, Williams responded “I had my rep.”

Hoots and hollers followed, and eyes turned toward Tomlin, who responded in resignation, “I’m good with that rep!”

Tomlin said after practice “(Spence) asked for some get-back but sometimes you don’t get get-back.” "

With Lemon gone... That thins the herd & improves chances for some guys.

OLB locks:
1. JJ
2. Moats
3. Deebo
4. Dupree
5. ???

Hojo? Chickillo? Green? Z-man?

Looks like I was wrong about Roosevelt Nix being used as an OLB. That's what initial reports were, but so far he has yet to log a single snap on the defense. He's being used primarily as competition for Will Johnson's FB spot. That isn't to say he won't get a shot though. Still a lot of camp left!

Lemon was a long shot...gave it his best I'm sure.

You think 5 is a lock or might they go 5 ILB...Timmons, Shazier, Spence, Williams, Garvin?

Hojo probably has the best chance, but the 5 ILBs all have roles established...if they all come in prepared, will be hard to unseat one of them.

I think they will PS the guy(s) they think have the best chance to fill deebo's slot next yr.
