2015 NBA Playoffs Official Thread

Does anybody disagree with the way they seed the teams? POR (51-31) has the 6th best record, but since they won the division they are guaranteed a top-4 seed. They play 5-seed MEM (55-27) and the Grizzlies have home court. They deserve that because they have the better record so why go through all that BS seeding the way they do if they are just going to give the better record the HCA? This is how it should look (the East fell perfectly).

(4)MEM (55-27) vs (5)SA (55-27)

(2)HOU (56-26) vs (7)DAL (50-32)
(3)LAC (56-26) vs (6)POR (51-31)

What the hell is wrong with that?

Divisions are stupid and outdated. The NBA really should just get rid of them

I don't think tonight is going to be in that much better column. I think the Bulls figured out Milwaukee and is going to blow them out, and I don't think Golden State is going to let the Pelicans hang around.

Has there ever been a playoff were all 8 series started 2 - 0? Doubt it.

Teams up 2 - 0 win the series 95% of the time.

Playoffs are rolling now.

In the last 2 nights we had 3 games go to OT (1 went to double OT) and the Nets/Hawks game came down to the final 20 seconds

Still kind of lame first round regardless so far

It looks like we might have a record number of series last 5 games or less.

All of the series (with the exception of impossible to predict SAS/LAC) seem to be all but inevitable conclusions after 2 games.

Maybe it changes over the weekend? I hope so, as the first round is usually my favorite.

Road teams go 3 - 0 yesterday.

Illustrates one of my gripes about how NBA fans/analysts tend to overrate homecourt advantage. Of course its important... but not as much as it gets credit for, IMO.

Who is better means more than who is playing at home.

Generally, the better teams have the higher seed... thus getting more home games... thus inflating the win percentage of home teams.

I didn't expect GSW to sweep NO but after last night that is certainly a possibility!

After the shitty start we are now guaranteed 3 series going 6 at least.

Not all that terrible.....seems typical for round 1.

Now if Portland can win this would be a standard first round.

2-3 sweeps, a few 5 game series, and a few 6/7 game series

It would be crazy if the East matchups are: Bucks vs Cavs and Nets vs Wizards. I am getting ahead of myself but who would of saw that coming.
