He's not going to offer Sano any protection, due to his strikeout rate, especially against lefthanders.
Yes he is. He's a run a producer. The best we've had since 2010 to be exact. He's a guy if you make a mistake it goes off the flag pole. Also I'll take a K before another routine DP from Plouffe. That's what you need behind Sano.
Him vs lefties wouldn't matter in this case. He wouldn't protect Sano against a lefty. Plouffe or Torri would. You play match ups.
But baseball is righty dominate. And we ran into situation where Jimenez ate us up with men on base because we didn't have a flexible lineup. Like most games this year.
Which isn't Molly's fault if the pieces are not there.
We've scored over 5 runs 3 times in the last 13 games at least(I don't remember the homestand before the road trip).
2 were in hitter parks Cincy with 1 of them having 6 in 1 inning and a loss. Then the other day vs Baltimore where we were done scoring by the 4th.
Bullpen and offense if we want to finish this push.
