Looks like Buxton is on his way to the Golden Sombrero today...
I am happy to report that Buxton is back in at the top of the order for today's rubber match against the White Sox.
Not sure what that was all about yesterday putting him back at the 9 spot...
Wow, Sale struggled through that bottom of the fourth. Sucks to them!
Now if Hughes can just hold these chumps bats off.
He was only moved up to face Danks, whom Molitor thought he'd fare well... and he was right.
Struck out 4 times today, so far...
If only we could face him and Danks everyday...
Buxton... will he make it to the AS break? I'm thinking he needs some time in AAA to figure out his ABs. Learn to have an agenda. Maybe work the count and stuff.... too many ABs with 5 or less pitches... even when striking out.
Danks is a bum but Sale is one of the best out there. Usually owns the Twins but they were able to get to him today. He did still manage to rack up 10 k's though...
Yeah, I think it's going to take a helluva lot more failure from him to get sent back down. Maybe once he starts looking like Hicks, he'll be history.. lol
Sale against the Twins this year = 6.46 ERA in 4 starts
Sale against the rest of the league = 1.88
That's neat.
I went to a game last year at Target Field where he shut us out for 9 innings.
Last time we faced him before today he held us to 3 runs on 5 hits over 8 innings while walking one and racking up another 10 k's.
That's what I know..
1-3 against us in 2015 with 6.46 ERA. That's what I know.
Not saying that at all, but he's had his taste now. Even contributed towards a couple of wins. Now, just send him to AAA with an agenda and some things to work on.
