His numbers away from Coors are very good as well. It's his health and the 15th pick that have me concerned. Maybe the Mets changing the dimensions of Citi will help. Need to sign and trade for more help though, this can't be their lone "big move".

His road stats with the Rockies certainly weren't bad at all. But .286/.332/.463 (his road stats in 3 years in COL) isn't good enough when you consider how bad his defense is.

With all that pitching the Mets have, you'd think they'd do better. That being said, Cuddyer's bat still helps.

Steamer projects Cuddyer at a 109 wRC+ in 2015 in 130 games. 0.9 WAR.

Sandoval would be a huge upgrade over what the Sox have gotten at 3B over the last two years, but that wouldn't be saying much. His offensive stats have declined for a few years now, though a 111 OPS+ is still pretty decent from a 3B. He doesn't really have any on base skills (only 50+ walks in one season and a .324 OBP last season) and his power numbers have been pretty middling, though AT&T Park may have been a factor. He's still fairly young, but he's missed a pretty good amount of time to injuries.

He scares the bejeezus out of me, What happens to a guy when he get the big contract and gets fat and happy when he's already fat?

When he was younger, he openly said he wouldn't watch his weight until he got closer to his contract year. He simply does not have the self motivation to keep himself in shape if he is "comfortable".

That's why I do not want anything longer than 4 years for him. A 4 year contract will give him the incentive to stay in shape and perform because he will have another contract to play for. If he has a 5 or 6 year deal, he will be set, and the next payday is just too far down the road to pay any attention to.

His performance in '15 and '16 are going to be DIRECTLY linked to the length of his contract. A short contract means he will work hard have good years. A long contract means he will enjoy life and have bad years. And he will be getting to the age where he will not be able to recover from the weight as he has been able to do in the last few years.

I want him back, but if the Sox are going "all-in" on him. Then he is all yours.

No Boch in Boston. Dude is going to explode in size. I can't wait.

Hammer, what's the story with Everth Cabrera? If the Mets were to sign him should I be thrilled, cautious? Are the Padres getting rid of him for salary reasons, off field issues, inability to perform on the field?

Kris Medlen was non-tendered by the Braves. He could be a very worthwhile low-risk/high reward signing for a team looking for pitching depth. I wouldn't mind the Mets taking a look at him.

It's really sad, Johnny Gomes would be a great fit for the Mets, a 4th outfielder that can hit lefty pitching for days when Cuddyer is playing first, only the Mets would need to clear payroll in order to afford him.

Headley isn't worth it. Let Marlins land him. Talk about over paying.
