All I know is whatever hitter Seattle signs will be overpaid and probably end up sucking as soon as he arrives. Then once we trade him he'll go back to being his old self. Story of our franchise forever.
Da hell?
When do pitchers and catchers report again? Soon, right? Damn I already can't wait.
The Braves just need to sign some players that can make contact with a baseball.
LOL You really that anxious to see the Padres repeat?
i'm glad, because at this point, Headley makes more sense...The Padres will have the best pitching top-to-bottom in the division and maybe NL.
Also, interesting that the Yankees are pursuing Chase Headley and have zero interest in Flablo Sandofat.

How does the QO rule work if a player is traded? Is it still the same thing for the team that acquires the player via trade or does the draft pick compensation go out the window when a guy is dealt?
The player needs to have started the season with the team to be eligible to receive a QO. I am not certain what the exact date of "the start of the season" is in regards to this rule.
Peavy and Lester were not eligible to receive QOs. If Price or Samardzjia were FAs this off-season, they too would not have received QOs.
