A few guys who I would look at that we might actually be able to get:
Jason Peters, DT, Atlanta: Would be a rotational guy who could also start next to Atkins. Plays the run very well but also has some pass rush skills. Would be a great rotational player and would only cost a few mil a year.
Mason Foster, ILB, TB: Still young and athletic would be a welcomed addition to this defense. He isn't going to be an all-pro player but he has been very solid his first 4 years in the league. Had some injuries last year which will bring his value down and make him a cheap addition.
Justin Durant, OLB, Dallas: Was off to a great start in Dallas before injuries derailed his season. Can play either OLB spot and was really shinning early in the season. Would help improve this defense immediately.
Adrian Clayborn, DE, TB: Plays both the run and the pass fairly well and has showed some decent pass rush moves when he has been healthy. Problem is 2 of the 4 years he has been in the league he hasn't played. Would be a good rotational pass rusher for team.
Nick Fairley, DT, Detroit: A guy many of us wanted to take in the draft and a complete knucklehead, but he is immensely talented. With his troubles in Detroit who knows if he will be back there and how much they will want to pay him. This seems like a Mike Brown Special.
Brandon Graham, DE, Phil: Still a young, talented pass rusher who may or may not be back in Philly. Could be a good third down pass rusher.
Brandon Spikes, ILB, Buf: If we want to improve the run defense then Spikes would do that. He is a two down, run stopping ILB. However, he can't cover the pass at all. If we get rid or Rey then he could be a valuable asset on running downs.
QB: There are a lot of subpar options at quarterback but there are a lot of young options who were either high picks or showed some upside at one point. None of them will be expensive and we should sign 1 or 2 of these guys to battle Dalton. Locker, Ponder, Sanchez, Gabbert, Hoyer, Mallet, Tyrod Taylor.
Brian Orakpo, DE, Wash: This one is the most unlikely yes, but he is coming off his third torn pec in his career and i doubt Washington pays him. With the injury history he will likely be looking for a cheaper short term deal in order to get his value back up. Would be a great addition, even on a 1 or 2 year deal.
