can't imagine paying 4 million for Gresham when we already have Eifert and Hewitt
so he's gone, not sure I'm upset about that.

..

Can't see us paying Newman, Mauluga, Campbell, Tate, Peerman, Sanzenbacher

...

I don't like the idea of downgrading the OL, but I can't see them signing Boling either.

At least they have to spend to the floor, so I guess they'll sign Nugent.

Eifert has not been healthy ever, and no way they do not resign Maualuga with as important as he has become to the defense.

Get a f'n pass rush, get Burfict healthy, and Maualuga is no longer our problem on defense like he was a couple years ago. Coaches like him, he will be back.

Why dont you think they'll sign Boling? It's not like he'll cost a lot, and he's probably their second best O-lineman. I thought he had a good year especially considering he's coming off an ACL, whereas 97 didn't have a good year, but he needs the year to heal

depends on how much they really have to pay for him. or what type of free agency it is.
he' a UFA, so someone will out bid us.

if they get into a bidding war they usually quit

I don't think this is another Steinbach situation.

Rey might be done here -- He's valued by the coaches, but he might want to move on.

Boling should be re-signed. Can't see anyone overpaying for him.

Peerman will probably be replaced by Peerman or sign a minimum deal to keep playing special teams.

Tate will either play for us or nobody.... So that's a minimum deal.

Gresham will leave.

We'll basically have the same team next year without Gresham and Rey..... Two fan favorites.

not a bad breakdown.
we should be able to resign Boling, but I guess it boils down to who else wants a new guard and how much they are willing to pay.

Peerman and Tate are pre-season heros, so they are hard to move on from.

Rey M is one of Marvin's warriors, he started to make a difference this season and those of us who hated him before had to reconsider. I don't see him graduating to another team though.

I think the days of overpaying for a guard are over..... Especially one that doesn't have a big name - Teams just don't have the cap room and rookies are so damn cheap. The league really values the draft these days. Keeping mid-range free agents should be easy if the team is motivated.

I meant that Burkhead might replace Peerman, but it's worth noting that there was room for both of them this season and the same could be true next. Peerman has some value to ST and he'll be cheap. Burkhead is still on his rookie deal and is cheap.

I think Rey's decision is entirely up to him..... He's not getting a big payday anywhere.

That son of a bitch needs to shut the fuck up. He really just needs to not talk ever again.

Upcoming 2015 Free Agents To Be....

Jason Pierre-Paul, Defensive End, New York Giants
Age: 25

Randall Cobb, Wide Receiver, Green Bay Packers
Age: 24

Justin Houston, Outside Linebacker, Kansas City Chiefs
Age: 25

Chris Harris Jr., Cornerback, Denver Broncos
Age: 25

Julius Thomas, Tight End, Denver Broncos
Age: 26

Gerald McCoy, Defensive Tackle, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Age: 26

Ndamukong Suh, Defensive Tackle, Detroit Lions
Age: 27

Dez Bryant, Wide Receiver, Dallas Cowboys
Age: 25

Demaryius Thomas, Wide Receiver, Denver Broncos

We have to sign one decent FREE AGENT on our defensive line that can get pressure. Gerald McCoy would be a good pickup. Replaces Peko's slow fat ass, while giving someone to take some heat off Atkins who isn't a complete moron like Suh. I like JPP also, but now I am just being greedy, because us signing one single top FA would be too much for us.

Houston will make so much money in the off season, the US Government will be asking him for a loan.

If it wasn't for the fact that Suh apparently wants to play for a New York team to "expand his brand", I could totally see the Bengals paying huge to get him to Cincy. It would be the one time Mike Brown would open his wallet...and Suh would be suspended and out of the league by week 4.

Not a single one of these guys will sniff the inside of PBS. If for no other reason, Brown will not pay for them. Period.

You need to go down about 3 tiers in the F/A pool, and then realize they'll wait until the middle/end of F/A to finally start finding their "Bargins" to sign. It's the Bengal way!

some of those guys are franchise type players and their teams aren't about to let them get away without a fight.

the middle of the roaders we may have a chance at grabbing.

The Bengals won't be in the market for a big name free agent since we already have our share of big names on the roster already.

ideal Bengals free agent: warm body, plays a particular position, unless of course, he can be transitioned to Safety.
