In mthe simulations I ran, all the starting quality players were pretty much gone by the 5th. So I have no big issue with giving up the 2 5th rounders. Eagles can draft starting quality guards or safeties in the 3rd and 4th rounds and then they are good to go.

I don't have a problem with trading two 5ths to move up for this guy. I would have moved up even faster to do it. I am surprised he made it that far. Now, the question is, do you move up again for Jake Fisher? I might.

Just because he didn't go that high doesn't mean he was not a good pick. I would have taken Byron Jones at 20 and then added Rowe in the second and addressed WR later.

6'1 205lbs with 31 1/2 arms - the prototype for our scheme. Athletic freak who ran a 4.45 with a 39 inch vert, 6.70 3-cone, 3.97 20 yard shuttle and 10'05 broad jump. 19 reps at 225 as well. Played 3 years at Safety and this past year at CB - very versatile player who's played at a high level at both positions. Fits perfectly in our press-man scheme as a corner, and has a ton of experience at Safety. Big time upside. Team captain with no off the field issues, and showed selflessness moving from S to CB.

Eric Rowe will be better than Byron Jones so i am just fine with it!

I hope people don't sleep on Jaylen Watkins either. We now have two very good prospects at DB with Rowe and Watkins -- both players can play CB and S. Combine that with Jenkins/Maxwell, damn It's nice to finally have some DBs!!

My sense on Rowe is he is a lot like Malcolm Jenkins--kind of a CB/S tweener with pretty good coverage skills, and pretty good size, but not elite in terms of hitting or playmaking on the ball.
