Vanek gets bought out today freeing up 5 million on the books. I'm mixed about this move. I've been a fan since his days at the U of M but he didn't fit Yeo's style. I'm a little surprised they didn't give him a year with the new coaching staff since his play is more suited for BB's style but it is what it is. Time to move on

Damn, Stamkos resigns with the Lightning for 8.5 million per season. Makes me sad that we are paying Parise and Suter the kind of money that could pay a player like Stamkos. On the bright side we resigned Zucker so he can go to Vegas when they start the expansion draft
