This Bucks defense is horrible, pretty surprising. And MCW struggling again, that Knight trade looking really bad right now.

Never been a fan of MCW. Knight was clearly the better player.

I wasn't big on Knight when he came into the league, but he's still better than MCW. MCW can't shoot and doesn't even have the great passing vision/ability of a Rondo or Rubio(2 other PG's who can't shoot).

What's wrong witht he Wizards?
thats a good question....I really thought they would be better....Did losing Pierce's leadership really hurt them that much?

Wall is obviously one of the best players in the East- and I think Bradley Beale is a future all star- and Beale is playing pretty good- about 46% shooting, over 40% on 3's, 20 pts a game- one day he is going to be one of the best shooting guards in the game.

I think the problem for the Wizards after that is- who is their 3rd and 4th best players?- Dont get me wrong- I think 1 through 12 they have depth- but that 3-7 area is pretty weak....

Otto Porter I think is the guy with the POTENTIAL to become a legit 3rd or 4th or 5th banana, but hes clearly not there yet. Gortat is a nice player but hes cannot be the 3rd or 4th best guy on a team that wants to try and make it to the Eastern Conference Finals.

I think the Wizards had a relatively quiet offseason because they are of course- waiting for next summers free agency- when a guy named Kevin Durant will be avaliable. I think it will be tough to pry him from OKC- but I think the Wizards are the only team that both appeals to Durant and has a core that could make Durant a winner. Obviously- a trio of Durant, Wall, Beale would be extraordinary.

but, long story short- I think they are struggling because the East is improved- they didnt really get better in the offseason- and after Beale and WAll they really dont have another high-end talent.

Kidd was just playing favorites. He saw a lot of himself in MCW which is the biggest reason they got him IMO

And to think...DJ thought they would beat the Cavs last year...lol

I don't think they could have beat Cleveland but if Wall never got hurt in game 1 vs ATL, they would have won that series and gave Cleveland a much better run than ATL did. I think they would have pushed Cleveland to 6 if Wall doesn't get hurt

Ason Kidd once couldn't make a jump shot, now he's top 5 in 3's made. We'll see if he can turn MCW into a capable shooter too. I don't see it happening though.

i highly HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt it would have gone 6...Cavs were not gonna lose to that Wizards team at home...no way...and the Cavs would have gotten at LEAST 1 of 2 in Washington....I could have seen the Wiz maybe getting a game- but even last year Porter was not close to being ready to be a real contributor, and Beale at 21 wasnt ready either.

I think they had no intention of keeping Knight because of the emergence of Middleton. They correctly spotted that Knight is more of a shooting guard- and decided they liked Middleton more- probably because of his great defense, stellar 3 pt shooting, and general attitude. They were never going to pay both Knight and Middleton--- and of course- what you said has some relevance in that Kidd definitely loves PGs with length and defensive ability.

With the idea in mind that they have no intention of paying Knight- and he was gone in a months, getting a guy like MCW was not bad value in my mind- Bucks also got Plumlee and Ennis- both who have the potential to be decent bench rotation guys. For 3 months of Brandon Knight- Ithought getting MCW, Plumlee, Ennis wasnt bad.

of course- in todays NBA- having a point guard that cant shoot immediately puts you behind the eight ball unless you have some absolutely stellar shooting elsewhere- which the Bucks obviously dont have enough of

I missed the Cavs game tonight- went out and saw the final Hunger Games movie....replay starts at midnight might watch a little bit...

Nice game for Gerald Green with the Heat....must be nice to see him back in the swing of things for Heat fans. He started off really nice but then had that trouble he got into.

I see Winslow has a PER below 8- which is just AWFUL- but i think thats a function of playing a lot of minutes- and not having really any plays run for you- and getting everything on your own. 46% shooting isnt bad- all though he is no threat from 3- atl east not at this point. I have heard his defense has been very solid- but havent seen much myself. Im surprised he only has 0.7 steals per game and 0.3 blocks per game.

PER is a pretty poor stat to look for with Winslow. Also defense is not only judged by steals and blocks. He is a terrific on the ball defender and guards the best perimeter player every game. Just about all of Miami best lineups includes Winslow. I acually saw something earlier this week where there was a Heat lineup with Winslow in it that had the best +/- in the league behind GSW small ball lineup.
