The Hawks and Pistons should be on the big screen

DONT TELL ME HOW TO LIVE MY LIFE

Honestly though I find myself more interested in that game due to Stanley Johnson, Marcus Fuckface Morris, and the Hawks are a fun team to watch. So unselfish.

Bulls-Cavs is just kinda a shitshow right now.

Bulls are looking good. very happy with the new coach and offense. They get defensive stops when they need them.

the Heat are rested and healthy right now. They started out last year pretty well too. The second half of the season will tell the tale of the Heat and if the guys they brought it can fill in when the inevitable bumps and bruises from an NBA season start to effect the guys with all those miles on their odometer's.

Anyone watching the team can tell it is different in a good way. This is a great read. Long read but great. Here are some of the best pieces from the article. Comparing the Heat team to last year is a waste of time. Last year roster was garbage. They did not start out well last year. At the end of November they were 9-7 and at the end of December they were under .500 I believe.

But the real person to study during the infancy of the Heat season is the man who's managing all these pieces, coach Erik Spoelstra. The man who can legitimately play 12 actual NBA-caliber players on any given night, as opposed to last season, when he was forced to play as many as eight players who are currently not on an NBA roster (Michael Beasley, Henry Walker, Shawne Williams, Shannon Brown, Justin Hamilton, Andre Dawkins, Zoran Dragic and Danny Granger).

If Wednesday's opener was any indication, Spoelstra has a pretty decent grasp of this group already. In Miami's 104-94 win, Spoelstra had inserted 10 players by the 4:23 mark of the first quarter. All 10 played at least 10 minutes, and none played more than Bosh's 32:19.

The result was a team that did a little of everything quite well, assisting on 23 of 36 field goals, hitting 12 of 20 3-pointers despite it not being a strength, shooting 49.3 percent from the field, scoring 15 points in transition and keeping the Hornets to 34.4 percent shooting over the final three quarters.

"It does make the game a lot easier," said Wade, who finished with 20 points and five assists in 29 minutes. "The minutes you go in, you play your minutes hard, and don't be selfish. When you're tired, come out. You've got another guy that's waiting.

"I enjoy having Gerald to come in for me. I haven't had a guy with that firepower come in for me in a long time. That helps my game. That helps me stay on attack."

Green actually spent more time on the court than Wade, hitting five 3s on his way to 19 points.

hitting the 12 3 pointers is a definite improvement over how they played last year. That will be big if they can keep up a solid volume and 3 point %....right now there is no stat that proves a greater correlation to winning than 3 pt efficiency combined with at LEAST a league average volume.

I honestly dont see any team in todays NBA going very far unless they are a GOOD 3 pt shooting team. The Cavs got Memphis down last night- and against the Cavs- a GREAT 3 pt shooting team- a poor 3 pt shooting team just has no chance to mount a real comeback- and Memphis is apoor 3 pt shooting team.

The only downside to leaguepass is hearing the annoying locals calling the game. The guys calling the Memphis Cavs game were almost unbearable, especially in the 2nd half. They spent more time explaining why every single call that went against Memphis was a bad call than they did anything else.

Hearing a game called by a neutral party is SO much better than hearing a game called by someone with a rooting interest. Even when they have the same interest as me its so annoying.

Cavs looked like a very smart, experienced composed team last night.

I mean- Thompson and Delly have taken huge steps from where they were at this time last year. Both guys can be depended on do to their jobs at a very good level- when at the beginning of last year it was FAR from guaranteed these guys could play at a high level.

Jefferson and Varejao are 2 great vets to have off that bench. Both are very smart. Both are very efficient. Neither misses assignments or makes bad plays. Both are great examples to younger guys with a great work ethic.

Jr Smith was a pleasant surprise last night. 9 points, 7 assists, 7 boards. Thats the thing with JR. on this Cavs team- he will pass- he will work on the boards. I wonder how many times on the Knicks he ever had 7 and 7 for rebounds and assists.

I just really like the mental frame of mind that the Cavs are in right now. It feels like a real team- even though there have been injuries and not much continuity yet- it seems people are on the same page- and at this time last year- with Waiters, etc. and then Varejao going down, and Delly struggling, and Love "fitting out" and Blatt adjusting and being upset with the media calling him a rookie coach etc.- there were a ton of road bumps and stuff to get through- LeBron clearing not liking the Cavs lack of a real center (before Mozgov)

This year it seems like everything is figured out. Everyone is on the same page. No one is panicking or rushing or worried. There is an urgency but it just feels more controlled.

The guy calling the Heat game last night sounded like he was doing a bad Johnny Carson impression.

The Heat have some of the best commentators in the game. Not saying this because I'm a heat fan but they're not biased as others. I hate those guys who are one sided and act like their team never get away with a call or never fouls anyone

The Cavs color guy is pretty annoying as well. I avoid watching teams who commentators are biased unless the Heat are playing them

Oh, I'm not talking about his calling of the game or his knowledge of it. His voice sounded like he was trying to do a Johnny Carson impression. His knowledge and the way he called the game was solid.

League pass usually both broadcasts??
That had to be one awful game to watch, in general, unless you were a Cavs fan.
