Losing to Utah absolutely ruined this trip. Must win Friday to avoid a disaster trip. Only good thing is the other East teams (excluding Cleveland) are as up and down as Miami so the Heat are still just 2 games out of the 2nd seed.

2-4 wouldn't be the end of the world. I expected 2-4 or 3-3 but I felt good about the Clippers game after the way we played on Monday in GSW and how we played in the first half last night.......then the 2nd half happened :L

Cole and CP3 had the pick and roll going last night.

That was the difference.

I don't expect many more games like that outta Aldrich.

i know the world is down on Anderson Varejao- but this extra time to get healthy and rest has been good for him. Im telling you- the guy can still play- and if he got some run and knocked the rust off- i think he could shoot 55%, play some solid defense, take some charges, and clean up on the glass pretty nicely.

I actually think he would be a great fit on the HEat- especially because he moves so well and works so well in the pick and roll. Dragic would love him- an actual big that can move without the ball and create some lanes.

The minute he starts playing significantly minutes he will go back to the land of broken toys.

His style of play is too violent. He throws his body around and hustle, which is great if he wasn't so fragile.

What he is though....is a great insurance policy against a significant injury.

If Thompson or Mozgov went down, he could easily assume those duties for a playoff series or two.

what happened to having a ridiculous deep team that went 12 deep? Whath appened to Chris Anderson "basially being the same thing as Tristan Thompson"- what happened to Dragic and Irving being " a matter of preference", what happened to Whiteside being "possibly the most dominant center in the game"....??

You predicted the Heat to win more games then I did (I'm pretty sure).
You're taking everyone else's comments and combining them with some of mine.

I believe our system is limiting some of our players production.
I wasn't expecting to see so much dependency on Wade, but it is what it is.

I think you guys are stuck in between being a half court team and a team that wants to push it.

I mean- Bosh and Wade are GREAT half court players. Bosh is ridiculous in a half court offense- and its where Wade does his best work- and it doesnt tire them out.

Dragic of course- wants to push it....I think a great amount of the reason why he shot an UNREAL 50% from the field for like a 2 and a half year stretch- was because he was getting some easy transition buckets- that just dont seem to be there right now...

I like how the Heat have developed Tyler Johnson, brought in Green and drafted Winslow--- those 3 bring athleticism, a little shooting....the Wing does not seem to be the problem for the Heat- and i think just last year it was a fairly substantial problem...

to me- it sure seems like the lack of outside shooting, a mismatch of systems wehre some guys want to push- and some guys wnat to slow it down, and just signing the wrong veteran big men to come off the bench- are part of the reason the Heat are not playing better.

This sounds spot on to me.

Well I've said it before. Usually the team that lost to GS continues to suffer at least one more loss (usually more than one; again, see the Clippers) immediately following their game against the Warriors. Looks like your boys got bit by that same bug. :noidea:

@WiggyRuss Whiteside 19-17-11 blocks.
How many Cavs centers since 1970 have put up better stat lines?

hey!!!! you guys won a game without your starting back court!!!!! Now you know how the Cavs felt for the first TWO MONTHS of the season!!!!!!

obviously a great game for Whiteside- Like i said the other day- there are only 5-7 centers i would rather have in the league if Whiteside isnt acting a fool!

but on to the elite team in the East- Cavs go 5-1 on their longest road trip of the year and take 2 of 3 in the Texas Triangle....man...it wouldve been cool to be the first team to sweep it since the Celtics in 2008- but it was not meant to be--- they got close though leading the Spurs in the 4th at one point. Great road trip......get home CAvs and try and get some rest for GSW on Monday!

Beasley is a nice, funny crazy.
Whiteside is just crazy, and not that nice of a guy from what I've heard.
i would be scared shitless as a GM to give him a long term contract- he can barely behave on a short contract where he is making no money.
