You heard it first from the WashcrawlerKC wins in 6.... Gut feeling.

90 wins means a lot. I don't want the Rangers to ever be known as the worst team to win the WS like the Cardinals team from 2006. I want the Rangers to win 95-100 games and win it all every year. Wanting the Rangers to be under 90 wins is silly.
It means that baseball was weak in 2014. Which is really was. The AL was not as good as it has been in years past and the NL had issues as well. I like a sport with offense that doesn't struggle like it has the past couple of years. I like a baseball with 90+ win teams that look like juggernauts going at it. I do not like bunting teams that rely on errors and fielder's choices to win games. That's not how the sport grows.
The better every team does the better the league does. Having a bunch of teams barely scrape by and backing into the playoffs is not fun for fans. The Tigers and Royals September race was awful. Both teams played like garbage.
Agree. No matter how many you win or lose, if you win the WS, you're still better than the rest and no one can take that away.I could care less how many games we win next year, or any year for that matter, as long as we go on to win a title. There are no asterisks for being the team with the poorest regular season record and yet winning the WS.
Not a thing silly about this.

One of the reasons I do not want to overpay for him.Shields has been quite a letdown the entire playoffs.

I've seen this too many times to count...Pitchers just fall apart vs the damn Giants man. I don't get it.
I honestly rather just win the World Series, forget about record lol
Well if the Rangers win 88 games next year, the odds they even make the post season, let alone the WS are going to be pretty low. Focusing only on the fact that I said 90 and not the reasoning behind it is what is causing the problem here.
Tuned this baby out. Only thing going for it is it's going with my prediction. No one has enjoyed this game as much as Buck. Praising the Giants and slamming the Royals.
I agree but main point is to get there no matter what record. But anyway anyone still interested in shields?
Someone will over pay for him. Still don't think KC can afford him.His ERA in the post season is alarming to say the least.
But I still like the idea he pitches 200+ innings every season.
