I really disagree that Hamels will flame out. The dude is worth his contract. He's just not worth Texas giving up Gallo and Alfaro to take on that contract.

Not sure I'd go as far as a "flame out." But I do think it's often overplayed how many years "so-and-so" has thrown for 200 innings, blah blah blah.

There's only so many pitches in every one of em's arm and you just never know when a guy who has thrown - i.e. Hamels has thrown over 200 in 6 of the previous 7 years and the one he didn't he was at 193 - this many innings is going to implode, or just flat get worn out.
