The Leafs didn't do much, and I am pleased by that. There are some youngsters I'm excited to see on the big team - particularly Josh Leivo, Viktor Loov and Andreas Johnson have a lot of promise.

To be honest, though, I'm more excited to see the Marlies. Nylander is likely headed for the Ricoh, and so is Connor Brown and I would be ecstatic if his potency in the O (leading scorer last year) translates at all to the professional game.

The big team, well, who the fuck knows. It's pretty clear now they are looking for a deal for Franson, and I doubt the return will be anything special even though the guy is undoubtedly talented. It'll be nice to see Randy forced to give the proper ice time to Jake Gardiner, and hopefully Rielly blooms early. Kessel will be streaky, JVR should push for 30 goals again, Lupul will either miss 60 games and be a point-per-game player or play 75 games and score 45 points, hopefully Kadri cements a top-six spot and produces consistently, Clarkson will fall, Celine is still captain.

Thats the scary part, dude. There is a huge void at center and the rumor mill was aflush with Staal rumors going for a center.....

I think Staal is working his way back into the elite defencemen class. Be a mistake to cut him now (although he is a UFA next summer, I believe).

Anyway, hope the Rangers do well because Tampa do not need another fucking lottery pick.

I guess no one is shocked by the revelation I'm pretty damned happy with the moves Jim Nill made this off season.

They really haven't done anything since moving into the AAC. Good times watching the games at Reunion. I hope that changes starting this season. Gotta crank up the arena like back in the day.
