This sucks. My two favorite WR's (that I thought we had a chance at), Cooks and Matthews have likely both risen their draft stocks to a point where we wouldn't have a chance to get either of them.

How many WRs are going to go in the first, though? It doesn't seem like all of these guys can go in round one - though I suppose six or so could. In that case, though, look at CB in the first and consider trading up for a WR in the second.

You mean the best cover guy. I personally wouldn't nind a rangy fs like Pryor in the 1st. The only two cb's I want in the 1st are Gilbert or maybe Dennard. Other than that I want to see a speed slot/return man drafted
The bpa out of certain positions approach.

Clowney with an unofficial 4.47 and a 1.56 split to open today. Hasn't run his 2nd one yet.

It would appear that a good player should drop to us with more players moving in to the 1st round. As for receivers possibly in the first: Watkins, Lee, Evans, Beckham, Cooks, Matthews and Benjamin. I don't know that all will go in the first but I'm hoping that someone falls in love with one of the big bodies, right now Matthews and Cooks are my two targets in the 1st and I don't see that changing. If Gilbert dropped to us then I might think twice but we could possibly get Roby of Roberson in the 2nd.

That condition is called "I just saw Clowney run a 4.4 after I talked trash and I'm too embarrassed to run itis" let's hope it doesn't spread

Ford said he had back surgery a couple years ago but doesn't know why he is held out yet.

He's being held out. He's not holding himself out. He didn't get clearance.

@wyche89: Dee Ford said medicals flagged a 2011 procedure for a herniated disc in lower back. Not major but advised not to compete.

Jadeveon Clowney JUST informed the combine that he will not compete in on-field drills today. It's not because of injury.

Landry's probably lost as much money as anyone today. There was talk about him in the first not so long ago. Given his measurements and now his 40-time (not sure if something happened to explain that), he could easily fall into the 3rd, 4th, or even later.

Happy that this will make him drop (for the 49ers at least). Could be like Quinton Patton- a guy many saw as a 2nd rounder that gets drafted in the 4th round. He still has big hands and his college tape is solid.

Blake Bortles, Mike Evans headline Sunday's combine winners - NFL.com
Losers:

Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU

Landry entered the weekend viewed as a solid Day 2 selection, but his disappointing 40 time (4.77) and vertical leap (28.5 inches) spawn concerns about his overall explosiveness. Teams now view Landry as a possession receiver with limited big-play potential, despite his impressive flashes on tape. Given the depth and talent of the 2014 receiver class, this lackluster showing in Indy could push Landry into Day 3 consideration.

1st - 4.47 (1.56)
2nd - 4.48 (1.59)

It looks to me like his second attempt was faster than the first attempt. He looking about 4.52 officially, that is my guess.
