Michael Raffl had two assists for Austria, Kimmo Timonen had an assist for Finland and Mesz was an even in a 7-1 loss against the US

I must say that the crosby carter kunitz line didn't do much. Kunitz took a bad penalty carter kept missing the net crosby was good but not a lot of help. If they don't get it going they won't win gold. On a good note the D was good and the other lines solid. Always seems that crosbys lines under perform he has no excuse this year with his bum buddy here....

Funny but St.Louis was all over the ice....

It's funny how Mike Babcock was complaining about how if Jeff Carter wasn't shooting he wouldn't play with Sid yet that's the coaches fault for putting together the wrong lines - Marty St. Louis actually looked better with Sid because they can cycle more and that's Sid's game - that shouldn't be an indictment on Jeff Carter, that should be the coaches job - to put the players in the right positions

Yeah no kidding that's what I was thinking but get this he did it off crosbys line. So far all lines are cruising except the crosby kunitz guaranteed chemistry line. Heck they even tried St.Louis on there the guy they cut! Now they're talking about sitting kunitz because he can't hold his own against top line competition playing with two 100 point NHL players...but they've only played Norway and Austria! they're fortunate to have two extra forwards this year as Duchesne was pulled from the presser to play with crosby half way through the game...I just don't understand why it's so hard to find people to play with the best player in the NHL??? Should be easy no? Maybe if yzerman picked the right players!

JVR looks very impressive today vs Russia, I'm really beginning to hate the JVR/Luke trade, he looks very dominant in front of the net, and his between the legs shot vs Bob today was sick. Snyder needs to realize that the Broad Street Bullies are a thing of the past and will never be relevant again, that type of player is a dinosaur in todays NHL. Skilled, fast, elusive players are the new style in todays NHL and until Snyder realizes this and stops with the Big slow goons we are always gonna be just average. And stop giving up on young players such as Bob, he will haunt this team for the next decade.

I hate to say it but the general fan base didn't think Bob was the answer that's why they went big which backfired. Luckily they stole Mase or that would have been a disaster.

JVR was so up and down and they needed D badly I'm not giving up on Luke yet he's looking better of late and he punishes anyone coming down his side. You have to give to get....
