2014 Draft Redux

First this isn't about Eric Ebron's accomplishments or lack of!

Given where Detroit is now and the needs they have, who would you take in the first round if you had a do over given who went after Ebron.

My first thought was Dennard CB with some really strong thought on Aaron Donald.

But it isn't the defensive side of the ball that needs help. With Tate playing well and Fuller looking like he may be a good #3 I passed Benjamin who I think will end up as a legit #1 target for the Panthers.

Although he hate a lot of haters Taylor Lewan could have really helped this team this season. The line and especially RT has been banged up this year. With a rotation of Waddle and Lewan I think the RT spot would have been helped and the run game might actually be better.

Benjamin is doing well as a rookie #1 with a QB that that is suspect throwing the ball.

I think he was a great pick where the Panthers got him.

Kelvin Benjamin is not as good as his stats. Not even close. I'd rather have Ebron. KB has hands of stone, and I would bet he'd drop any rocket pass from Stafford.

I would gladly take OBJ instead of Tate, though. Or even better, Zach Martin 1st round, Jordan Matthews 2nd round without Tate. Saves $6 mil per year.

I love me some Tate. Honestly I'd take almost any tackle, Dennard, OBJ, the guy in New Orleans, or Donald. I understand the thought process behind a tight end and I like it, he just isn't what they thought he would be. At least not at this point. Even besides the drops, he doesn't fight for the ball. Two balls looked badly thrown because he just kept fading back allowing the DB to get between him and the ball.

It was a spectacular catch. He's a been playing very well for them.

You'd have to throw in a 1st round pick to go along with Ebron before the Giants would even entertain the thought.
