I don't care how bad our offense is and how good our defense is. If we had a chance t do it over, I would absolutely find a way to get Khalil Mack on this team. Have you seen him play this year? I've seen NFL "experts" (who may be known to overstate some things occasionally) say Mack might already be the best LB they have ever seen play in the NFL.

Did you all see that catch Beckham Jr. made tonight? Maybe the SINGLE best grab ever.

I'd trade Ebron for him straight up right now, no questions asked.

0 Thumbs Down! Thumbs Up!

I mentioned this last night -- I was putting a post up when he made the catch and completely forgot what I was going to say after seeing it. Absolutely ridiculous catch.

As far as trading Ebron for OBJ -- Unfortunately, once the Giants front office stopped laughing at the offer, they'd say no.

Would have taken defense or an olineman then, still would be fine with that.

The Lions are dying for some line help. As good as that catch was and as great as Beckham's been playing I still have to take O-Line.

The current Lions O-Line has been for shit this season. I get all the venom getting laid on Stafford, I just wonder what his stats would look like if he had time to throw.

Ebron and Van Noy = Ain't done shit!

Personally I am going Lewan. Can never have enough good O-lineman. Especially a potential franchise LT.

We could of had Tate, Beckham and CJ. Would of been unstoppable.

I'd rather have Zach Martin. We'd have the best young pair of guards in the league. Throw in Reiff and Swanson, and we would have been in great shape going forward on the o-line...

He'd look like he looked last year, when he had the #1 rated OL in the league in front of him.

I disagree as they didn't have Tate and a lot of the Lions short comings last season was the fact guys like Durham were go to options.

This season at least he has had Tate, Riddick (playing better this season), and until Sunday Fuller was doing well. My one thought is "where the fuck is Broyles?"

Tate's a fair point.

As for Broyles, I'm really disappointed that he's not getting some run out there. We're talking about an NCAA record-setting receiver. It is a true shame he had the injuries because he was a 10 year All Pro waiting to happen. Even having had the injuries, I'm convinced he's still probably twice the receiver Ross ever hoped to be. He showed it in the preseason. The guy can still get open and catch the ball. And no, I don't trust that Caldwell would put him in if that were true.

I think "10-year All Pro" is a wee bit of a stretch there.

Wouldn't be the first time I've exaggerated slightly. But had he not blown out his knee his senior year at Oklahoma? It's possible. He was very good.

I like Broyles. Expected a lot out of him. But we have to be realistic. He had one good game, in one of the most passing prolific offenses ever, playing next to a guy who at the time drew more coverage help than anyone in the league. And he's coming off 2 major knee injuries, and didn't have great speed to begin with.

We don't need him to burn past guys, just catch the damn ball!! He doesn't even get to do that.

I think you underestimate defensive backs in this league. Contrary to popular belief, you do need some sort of separation to make a catch. Unless you are Odell Beckham.

But he got open like nobody's business!

One of the best college route-runners coming out I can recall, granted I'm not all that old... but still- great route runner. I think it's telling that he's been put in the game for like 5 snaps this year and has two long first down catches on two targets.

I say we just stage a hostile takeover, tell Austin he's got full autonomy on the defensive side of the ball, and we'll all just run the offense by committee. We'll each have ten seconds to vote via text/app on one of seven pre-selected plays, with the winning vote-getter radioed directly into Stafford's helmet.

I'm pretty sure we could score a TD in 8 fucking quarters with that system, so that inherently would make us more effective than the current set-up...
