Well the only other thing the O's did was sign Young to a 1 year deal. Not much to top that. I'm sure Angelos will file tampering charges now. With the new commish in office he might punish them hard to set a standard.[/QUOTE

to be honest no one in the al east have done alot . boston has done the most and they will lack the pitching . yankees losing kuroda will be huge . maddon was a super manager with what he had and then the jays not much of a climb either . :pound:

Eh Jays got Martin and Donaldson but lost Milkey.

Wish the O's would have gotten a outfield either re-sign Nick, traded for Upton/Seth Smith or signed Aoki.

Yea that's kinda expedited for a start with a sub 4 era no a days. He asked for 10.25 so they met in the middle. I'm surprised they didn't try and work out a few year deal. Like 3 years 25 million. Probably would of saved them some this year.

"The Pirates have acquired infielder Steve Lombardozzi from the Orioles in exchange for cash considerations, Baltimore announced.
The swap is unrelated to the clubs’ earlier Travis Snider deal, which includes a still-unnamed player heading to Baltimore, according to a tweet from Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review."

"The Orioles have reached a deal to bring back right-handed-hitting outfielder Nolan Reimold, according to a tweet from Seamus Doyle. Reimold gets a minor league deal with a spring invite and an opt-out clause, per Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com (Twitter links). The 31-year-old picked a return to his long-time stomping grounds over a chance to join the Indians, according to Kubatko. Reimold has a .251/.324/.439 career slash over six seasons and 1,134 plate appearances, all but 78 of which have come in an Orioles uniform."

The Orioles and infielder Jayson Nix have agreed to a minor league contract that will pay the 32-year-old Turner Gary Sports client $750K in the Majors with another $50K worth of incentives, tweets Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. Nix will be invited to Major League Spring Training, per MASNsports.com’s Roch Kubatko (on Twitter). 1500 ESPN’s Darren Wolfson tweeted last night that Nix was on the cusp of signing.

The Orioles are nearing agreement on a one-year pact with free agent infielder Everth Cabrera, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports (Twitter links). The deal is “very close” to being finalized, per the report, with the results of a physical pending.

The deal is expected to be worth around $2.4MM when it is finalized, Encina tweets.

Here's the lineup as of this moment that I envision being the norm, though could be off a bit:

1. De Aza - LF
2. Machado - 3B
3. Jones - CF
4. Davis - 1B
5. Wieters - C
6. Snider - RF
7. Young - DH
8. Hardy - SS
9. Schoop - 2B
