Lillard is worthy- but worthy guys get left off all the time. As me, bskbllr and mecca were thinking (as probably do most people)- he will probably take Kobe's spot- unless Cousins gets it

He's between 7-9 best PG IMO

Durant played in 44% of his team games. Lebron played in 78% of the Cavs games.

Comparing the 2 in this situation is dumb. One player missed 10 games.....the other missed 26 games

You should not be able to make the AS game if you don't play at least 60% of your team games at the halfway point.

I actually wouldve taken Lillard over Westbrook. But cant be mad going either way.

I'm happy for Boogie but Lillard was the pick there. There is zero reason he shouldn't be on this team. Durant should do the right thing and sit out so Lillard gets put on the squad. He's been limping around with a toe issue so just sit out to heal up. You get your bonus by being named to the squad anyway. Make it right, KD! Sit out.

So, yes...his numbers on offense dwarfs Duncan's.

But, can't the same be said about Lillard vs. CP3 * not assists*? Portland even has the better record.

More so, the reason I suggested Westbrook and Paul is because Russ misses a bunch a game and they all play the same position...I know that's not really relevant for All Star replacements.

Also, I agree with Wild Turkey. Durant should bow out gracefully.

Defensive +/- Duncan #1 in league
Rim Protection Rank - Duncan is 4th best of anyone who played at least 39 games, 10th best overall with no min # of games played.

DPOY is a two man race. (DUNCAN v GREEN)
Draymond Green is having an unfathomable defensive season.
It is a lean towards Green at this point well deserved, but if Duncan wins no big shocker.

And for good measure on the offensive side, he is putting up a PER good enough for 15th best in the league as a so-called defense first guy.

He's got a reasonable case. Boogie's is just better. He's superior on offense in just about every measure and while Duncan is better defensively, its not like the gap is oceans wide. We're not talking a Bruce Bowen to Nick Young type drop off. Both should have been in over Durant.
