Barkley hate for Wade is comical.

Wade numbers blow every guard in the east out.

Especially Jennings & Knight.

Not even close

Wade wont play right? I read today he was out 2-3 weeks-- so there is one other spot on the East roster....

or am i wrong? You would prob know better than I would

Haven't read anything today but they said he's probably going to miss the same amount of time as he did earlier so yeah I doubt he will play.

I'm happy he made it because the AS game is about individual numbers and he was the best G and especially SG in the East in the first half of the season

Barkley claims that Wade did not put up AS numbers but 18, 5, & 4 on 43% shooting with a PER of 18 is but 21, 5, & 4 on 49% shooting with a PER of 22.5 is not?

Wade PER is the highest among any PG or SG in the East

just for the record-

Kyrie Irving is 22 years old- and just made his 3rd all star team-

Damian Lillard is 24 years old- and has made 1 all star team in his career

I think its hard to take 2 guys from a team that is 5 games under .500 - and I think Bosh was more deserving

Well in the East where there are only 5 teams over .500 it is much easier.

IMO the AS game is about individual numbers/performance. This isn't and should not be a team achievement which is why I felt Cousins got snubbed for the last 2 or 3 years

If you put up numbers and managed to stay somewhat healthy you're an AS in my book. Only reason Durant wasn't on my list is because he's been injured like crazy

No doubt that the WC is loaded with talented guards.

And this means absolutely nothing because of 2 reasons

1) Kyrie came into the league at the age of 19. Lillard if I'm not mistaken played 3 or all 4 years at college

2) The West is much deeper at guard. Lillard would be a 2 time AS at least possibly 3 if he played in the East

Using age to compare a player success at a certain age compared to another player is beyond dumb unless they came into the league at the same age.

Kyrie entered the league at 19.

Lilliard at 22

Please never use the age argument to make compairsons on these two again.

Thanks

Doesn't look so good for Wiggy's boy when you put it into the proper perspective BK.

BOTH PLAYERS MADE their first AS game in year #2.

Lillard should've made it in year 3 this year just as Kyrie did but he got snubbed and the West is much deeper than the East but anyone who watched basketball this year knows he's an AS and he may very well get his call to replace Kobe

you dont think that its harder to enter the league at 19 than 21? that kyrie would not have been better had he come into the NBA after his junior year and more nba ready?

just asking the questions....

This again?

If it were a 5-10 year gap, sure.

But, even playing barely 11 College games, Kyrie's level of competition was superior to Dame's.

Lillard stepped Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up in class and didn't miss a beat.

Shocking that a player who entered the league at 19 has more AS appearances than a player who entered at 22

i think its shocking that a 22 year old will play in his 3rd all star game......that probably has not happened very often.

I know when Kyrie made his first All star team*prior to 21 there were only 6* guys his age or younger to ever make the game- LeBron, Garnet, Kobe, Shaq, Isiah and Magic

"Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Shaquille O’Neal, Isiah Thomas and Magic Johnson were the only players selected to play in the NBA All-Star Game prior to turning 21."

I would say thats pretty decent company to be in.....would u agree? ;)
