2014/2015 NBA All Stars

Starters (fan vote) were announced tonight.

East: John Wall, Kyle Lowry, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Pau Gasol

West: Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin, Marc Gasol.


Reserves will be announced next week. There are 7 reserve spots each. Coaches must pick 2 guards, 3 front court players, and 2 "wild card" spots (any position).

So who would pick to fill out the roster?

West reserves: Bledsoe, Dragic as guards. Len, Markieff and Wright as the bigs. And Thomas+Green as the wild cards. Book it.

Really though... in the West these should be some given reserves:

Harden, Duncan, Thompson, Cousins, Dirk, Lillard... off the top of my head.

In the East: Teague, Vucevic, Milsap, Horford, DeRozan & Butler. Can't think of any more off the top of my head though.

no way Wade gets left off.

He has the best numbers in the east for any shooting guard.

Bosh shouldn't get left off either but due to the Hawks winning I can see them putting Horford & Milsap over Bosh

Yeah forgot Wade. Don't know if Bosh deserves to make it over Horford or Milsap but I wouldn't be shocked.

There's no way any of Teauge, Milsap or Horford should be left off though.

There's no way any of Teauge, Milsap or Horford should be left off though.

I think the 3 Hawks are a lock. The other 4 spots is where it gets interesting

The winning team get like 30, 000 and the losing team get like 15,000. I have to look up the exact numbers.

You also win money for the Dunk contest, Skills competition, 3 point comp, and the shooting stars.

Everybody gets paid.

East All-Star team is like the NBA's worst nightmare.

I mean, outside, of LeBron, they're nice players, but not All Star starters. Wall may eventually be, but Washington hasn't done anything yet.

Carmelo's team is tanking and he hadn't even been playing.

And Pau Gasol wasn't an All Star Starter when he was IN his prime.

So, Boogie should be a lock now that Aldridge is sidelined.

Even though Durant is a Superstar and Duncan is a LEGEND, they don't deserve the nod over Cousins.

Chris Paul shouldn't make the Team either.

Durant? Probably but I think Westbrook gets in as Aldridge or Kobe replacement. If they're smart they should include LA so they can add 2 additional all stars to replace he & Kobe

I'm not sure.

CP3 missed a ton of games and they still made him a reserve in the game in NOLA last year.

If I'm not mistaken, he was out the whole month before and only came back 2 games prior to Allstar weekend.

They can be considered. It's just that the West is so fucking stacked that the time they missed will surely be considered. Like you wouldn't put Westbrook in over Lilliard. Dame has been killing it all season and while Westbrook is a talent, he did miss time. Gotta split hairs somewhere. Where it really gets tough is would you put Westbrook in over say Mike Conley? Westbrook's numbers are clearly better but he's missed significant time while Conley has played the season and his numbers are right on the cusp of All Star status and his team is really good.

I hate ESPN- i read there article on the starters and had to hunt and peck through the whole freaking article- its so stupid- you cant just havea paragraph at the top saying who the startesr are? it really makes me angry
