I heard it would take 3 #1 picks plus one of Lane Johnson, Fletcher Cox or Michael Kendricks to get to the #1 spot in this draft from where we would pick from. That is insane!

Then... Bryce Petty it is. I was at a party last night in Limerick, and another draft guru is all over Petty. He also thinks he's another Rodgers. We'll see. If he keeps rising, then Chip would have to trade up a bit to get him. He won't last until pick # 32!

Rey - Anthony Gargano (WIP Sports Radio) spoke to a connection he has in Oaklands front office, and should Oakland get the #1 pick for a team to jump up from the late 20's or 30's to #1 he said it would cost 2 additional first rd picks 2015, 2016 and one of those 3 players I mentioned, plus the obvious swap of first rounders this year....so total 3 first rounders for their first rounder and one of our young star players. That is insane.

Rodgers came from a good system and was coached by Tedford IIRC who was a good QB coach, Petty is nowhere near Rodgers' pedigree coming in.

Petty is a product of a one read offense

You can't draft QB's expecting them to be the next Rodgers, Brady, Luck etc ... you draft a guy who has the tools needed ... "smarts" to be coached as well as good work ethic. You then take that guy and mold him in your system and hope he adapts to the speed difference in the NFL. It's going to take time ... even Andrew Luck, as good as he is ... has been turnover prone this year 13 Int's and 11 fumbles. It's really an inexact science ...

I think Mariota winning the Heisman coupled with the current state of the Eagles team will wind up leading the Eagles to a blockbuster trade with the Raiders for the number one pick. The trade could even wind up including more than just draft picks. Maybe even a guy like LeSean McCoy.

Very talented, but I didn't want us to get him in the 1st round. He's 5'10", not much bigger than Boykin. We want bigger CB's - 6'0" or taller. Maybe we draft him late, and wait for him to heal.

I hate to be an asshole, but that is GREAT news for Eagles fans....We snag a first rd talent in rd 4 now.

IFO will be an Eagle bank on it! Either playing CB or Safety, depending if he lost a step....and for those that never saw IFO play, he could afford to lose 1 step and still be faster than most wr's....dudes a 4.3 guy. Only guy I saw in college that could run step for step with Brandin Cooks, and completely shut him down. ROUND 4 STEAL!

I like him a lot too, but not at Safety. He is fast, but I don't think he's physical enough to play safety. That said, he probably is more physical than Nate! You know Chip wants him.

How bout Gerod Holliman from Louisville. Looks pretty damn good. Possiblly could wind up being our 1st round pick.

Ekpre-Olomu will probably still go before rd. 4 because he had big time speed before the injury. Maybe 2nd-3rd range. Im sure Chip will go after him.

Add those 2 plus sign a FA like Byron Maxwell from the Hawks & suddenly you have the makings of a damn good secondary.
