2014 - 15 College / Eagles Draft Talk

Throw out your thoughts here ... Been posting some thoughts on KFFL, but I'll start some talk here as well.

A lot will be dictated by how we play this season. But places that could be addressed on the team are QB, WR, DL, MLB, CB, S.

If Foles keeps looking the way he has we could be looking at a top pick. If he gets his act together we should be a playoff team. But the OL injuries worry me a little. I think we will realize we need a speed guy and Stefon Diggs could be a nice target if we make the playoffs. MLB replacement for the aging Ryans. The CB and S position need to be upgraded if we want to be a SB contender. The kid out of USC wouldn't look bad on the DL either.

S, DB, OG, MLB, WR, .....RB if Polk can't stay healthy.

OL and CB to me are going to be top priorities. WR will be interesting if Maclin leaves and Coop can't repeat his chemistry with Foles.

ok, that's just crazy talk .... it is NEVER too early to talk draft or college ball. You must be a Skins fan or something

CB and OL are far and away our biggest needs, then S/WR.

Who are the top CB's in this years draft? The kid out of Oregon I have seen the two CB's at FSU in early 1st round mocks. Anyone else we should be looking out for? Would you guys rather have a CB or a stud S?

This^^ are you a fan of The Ohio State University? Roby will be a very solid player in the NFL. He did suffer a pretty bad injury less than a full season ago. I wish the NCAA would have granted Roby an extra year for a medical redshirt, but it was denied. The Buckeyes do pretty well putting solid LB and secondary players in the NFL.

I was a Brandin Cooks guy and was very upset when the Saints traded right in front of us to grab him ... that being said I'm willing to give Marcus Smith a chance; I think he may be the type who will keep getting better with reps and experience.

We should have drafted my boy Benjamin. Though Roby, Benjamin or Cooks would have been way better than Smith. Hate reaching on our first round pick. We should have learned from past mistakes.

Btw, congrats to PSU being reinstated w their scholarships and bowl eligibility. The NCAA is so worthless how they handled the sanctions. I'm just glad PSU is back again and put the past behind them. No need to punish the team who had nothing to do with it. This coming from a Buckeye. Good to have you here.

Brandin Cooks is looking great. He would have been a major weapon for Chip.

Give Marcus a chance. This is more or less his redshirt year to learn the D and get bigger and stronger. He has the skill set to be good in this defence, just needs a little time.

I think we need to draft another WR next year too, and depending on what happens with Polk this year RB might be a possibility too - I love Gurley from Georgia. LB, CB are major priorities as well. I also like Calhoun from MSU, think he would be a good edge rusher in our D.
