I think we need to start putting together some early mock drafts.
This is getting boring, and it's a snow day!!

Doubt we use a 2nd rounder of a RB, but if by chance we ship McCoy. I really like this Duke Johnson kid from the U. Talk about downfield burst -- he could be a real nice fit in this scheme.

If they're looking for a bigger power back, David Johnson (Northern Iowa) had a pretty solid game in the Senior Bowl Saturday. 230 pounds and good hands out of the backfield. Todd Gurley is intriguing to me if he can last until our 3rd or 4th rounder. Redshirt him next year and he takes over in '16.

No way does Gurley last that long. Round 2 at the absolute lowest. Adrian Peterson was hurt for his draft and he still went #7. Gurley's in that range as a talent, or at least close enough to still end up in the 1st round.

Has anyone seen a report about the health of Ifo Ekpre-Olomu? I didn't see the Senior Bowl, so i don't know if he played or not.

I think Gurley will drop to the second round due to his injury for sure.

Tell me why this isn't Adrian Peterson all over again? He went 7. Now Gurley isn't quite Peterson, but he's close enough to use that as a gauge for this situation. Peterson dropped 1-6 spots due to his injury.

Because he is not AP, and because this is 2015 and RBs are not very important.

What is the take on these 2 guys. I've seen the Ducks play but never really noticed Fisher and I can't recall seeing Jones although I've watched highlights of both on YouTube, etc.

ILB Taiwan Jones of Michigan State. Great size
OT/G Jake Fisher of Oregon. He's a Duck so Chip must be focused on him.

I think Fisher could easily be an Eagle because he is not only a Duck, but a versatile one who has lined up at several places on the OL. I think he could be a third rounder type.

I look for our team to draft a guy like Cameron Erving of Florida State or Jake Fisher of Oregon who can back up multiple positions and contend for a starting job at guard early.

I would think fisher would be a 3rd round pick because of versatility, but doesn't have great size. Might be better as a guard. Pretty athletic.

Jones does indeed have very good size, and will most likely be a 4th round pick. He also has played OLB for MSU.

Maybe Marynowitz will recommend to Chip these guys as mid-round players with excellent upside potential.

Umm yes he is. He's as close as you get. And I'm not saying Gurley is going top 7 like AP did, but the injury is hardly much of a scare when AP's wasn't and AP proved to have an excellent career.

He is a very different back in my opinion than AP. Now if you want to compare him to Marshawn, I can kind of see that.

One of those guys was doing it in the SEC. I'm not going to clean that data up. I think it makes the point as is. Games, attempts, rushing yards, rushing average, touchdowns, receptions, receiving yardage, yards per reception, receiving TDs, total touches, total yards from scrimmage, total touchdowns.

Matt Miller has this Eagles Draft:
!. Landon Collins, S
2. Ronald Darby, CB
3. Laken Tomlinson, G
4. Kurtis Drummond, S
4. Tyler Lockett, WR
5. Brandon Bridge, QB
6. Trey DePriest, ILB
7. Brandon Ivory, DE

I'm not that familiar with Darby, Bridge, DePries, or Ivory, but I would be ecstatic with this draft.
Also, he thinks that the Eagles will trade up for Mariota anyway.

Miller says that Mariota will fall to at least #5, so the Eagles can trade up to #4, to get Mariota if they want him.
The report on Bridge says that he has tools, but needs a lot of coaching. Could he be the sleeper in the mid rounds for Chip?
I really like the Lockett pick in round 4, as we need more speed.

I'd take that for us. Not sure about Brandon Bridge but otherwise that looks quite nice.
