Fans of other teams.

good point, this means a LOT of fans.

if the difference between these Safeties is large (either way), then no problem to see.

what if its close in comparison? then you have question like what scheme they're in, which opponents (mainly QB) they played against, quality of teammates, etc.. even if Reid is thought of as a little better, same questions will arise.

so I guess Reid will just have to make it clear. :-)

And that's exactly it, Deep! To warrant a trade up which caused us to lose a high 3rd round pick, he really has to be that focal point of the back end of our D.

Terrance Williams - WR - Cowboys

The Cowboys had Baylor WR Terrance Williams 23rd overall on their draft board.

Williams ended up watching six wideouts go ahead of him and lasted until the third round. The Cowboys want him to beat out Dwayne Harris for the No. 3 job, but that's a battle that will be forged at training camp. As usual, they overrated the talent of a prospect from the state of Texas. Wideouts coach Derek Dooley already admitted that Williams "has a long way to go." Their goal should be to get him ready for 2015, when Miles Austin will be owed $4.5 million in base salary.

What do you guys think of robey from tOSU? If he comes out he probably would be a top 15 pick? I am no where close to the talent evaluater that y'all are. And I am a tOSU homer.

no disputing it.

but i'd think each of us has a difference of OPINION on time frame? do expect he'll start game 1 and not be a total liability doing so, but if you're saying "focal point of the back end"...............for me that would be next season.

Le'Veon Bell - RB - Steelers

Steelers second-round RB Le'Veon Bell led the nation with 921 yards after contact last season.

Montee Ball was second with 887 yards, Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey was third and Johnathan Franklin was fourth. Bell runs a little upright at 6'1/244 and was often criticized for disappointing in the power department, but he is surprisingly elusive for a big back. He is also underrated as a receiver and has a very clear path to playing time. All media outlets covering the Steelers fully expect Bell to be the Steelers' starter come Week 1.

Another one of my favorites (He and Bell):

Christine Michael - RB - Seahawks Seahawks

second-round RB Christine Michael reportedly impressed the coaching staff during OTAs and minicamp.

With Marshawn Lynch skipping all the voluntary sessions, Michael got a chance to spread his extremely talented wings. Former NFL scout Matt Williamson predicts Michael will be a "total stud and true every-down running back" by 2016. That big chance could come sooner if Marshawn Lynch's unresolved DUI case gets grows legs before Week 1. We suspect Michael will outplay incumbent backup Robert Turbin at training camp.

likely the starter right?

for fantasy football, this would be a nice pick up. cause he'll likely be had a LITTLE later, say round 4 or 5 in a 10 team league?

Mike Glennon - QB - Buccaneers

NFL Films guru Greg Cosell likes third-round QB Mike Glennon's willingness to attempt difficult passes.

"(In) the NFL, there are four or five throws in every game that are difficult throws, and you have to be willing to pull the trigger and throw balls when it appears that your receivers are covered," Cosell said. "Mike Glennon is willing to do that, and he can sit on his back foot and throw the ball effectively." Cosell considers Josh Freeman "on the clock," and believes Glennon will get a "very legitimate chance to be the starter." We highly doubt Glennon will unseat Freeman in camp, but Freeman can ill-afford any early-year struggles.

Jarvis Jones - LB - Steelers

The Steelers have "privately acknowledged" that first-round pick Jarvis Jones could be their first rookie defender to start since 2001.

The last rookies to start on Pittsburgh's defense were Kendrell Bell and Casey Hampton over a decade ago. The National Football Post's Len Pasquarelli writes there's a "decent chance" Jones will beat out Jason Worilds for the starting job opposite LaMarr Woodley. Expect the loser to still rotate into games often.

Marcus Lattimore - RB - 49ers

49ers rookie RB Marcus Lattimore (knee surgeries) acknowledged that he won't participate in training camp.

In other words, he'll spend camp on the active/NFI list and likely stay there for the season's first six games. Lattimore did say he performed some sprints at OTAs. His goal is to "get a chance to practice midseason, and see what happens." If the 49ers like what they see from Lattimore at that point -- and if they need a back -- there's an outside chance he could be activated to the 53-man roster. We're still expecting a "redshirt" year for the fourth-round pick.

Barkley was 'fairly impressive' @ Eagles OTAs

Fourth-round pick Matt Barkley was reportedly "fairly impressive" at OTAs and "could loom as a key piece" of the Eagles' long-term plans.

Despite his draft-day slide, "some evaluators" reportedly still believe Barkley could develop into the top quarterback from the '13 class. The National Football Post's Len Pasquarelli concedes Barkley is unlikely to figure into the Michael Vick-Nick Foles training camp battle, but it's reasonable to think Barkley could see late-year playing time if the Eagles' season goes south.

Giovani Bernard - RB - Bengals

Running backs coach Hue Jackson said second-rounder Giovani Bernard could line up as a wideout in some formations this season.

The Bengals want to get Bernard the ball in space any way they can. "He's so natural catching the ball. He can catch it like a receiver," Jackson said. During two seasons as North Carolina's feature back, Bernard hauled in 92 passes for 852 yards and scored six receiving touchdowns. He will be the lightning to BenJarvus Green-Ellis' thunder this season, gaining some extra value in PPR formats.

Brandon Jenkins - LB - Redskins

Redskins DC Jim Haslett is "very high" on fifth-round OLB Brandon Jenkins' "athleticism" and "pass-rushing skills."

Jenkins missed all but one game as a senior at Florida State due to a Lisfranc fracture. He was extremely productive in 2010 and 2011, recording 21.5 sacks and 33.5 tackles for loss while having the looks of a future first-rounder. Haslett said he's looking for ways to get all four of Jenkins, Brian Orakpo, Ryan Kerrigan, and Rob Jackson on the field at the same time.

Sharrif Floyd - DL - Vikings

Cowboys DC Monte Kiffin and DL coach Rod Marinelli didn't think DT Sharrif Floyd was "quick-twitch" enough to excel in their 4-3 defense.

Cowboys' scouts had Floyd among their top-ten prospects. The team also has only an aging Jay Ratliff and a converted 3-4 end in Jason Hatcher as their starting tackles. But when it was time to pick at No. 18 overall, Jerry Jones traded out of the spot. Floyd, who ended up going 23rd overall, should enter his rookie season with a big chip on his shoulder. Chance Warmack - G - Titans

The Titans are "very pleased" with first-round OG Chance Warmack's progress.

Warmack says his biggest adjustment has come before the snap. "In college, I got away with a lot of things because of how athletic I was, but everyone’s athletic in the NFL, so you have to think a little bit more." Coach Mike Munchak believes the No. 10 overall pick is ready to start. "He’s seen about everything he’s going to see in the regular season already, so he’s prepared that way." It's hard to believe Warmack has "seen about everything he's going to see" in pad-less practices, but he'll clearly be starting opposite Andy Levitre in Week 1.

Giovani Bernard - RB - Bengals

Bengals RBs coach Hue Jackson believes second-round RB Giovani Bernard could be an every-down player.

"Having evaluated him and watched every game he played. ... He has that skill set where I think he could play and be an every down player," Jackson said of the No. 37 overall pick. Jackson let slip earlier this week that Bernard could line up as a receiver in certain formations. BenJarvus Green-Ellis is still likely to begin the year as the Bengals' early-down back, but Bernard is the player to own for fantasy purposes.

I think he has 1st round talent IMO. Also, this dude John Middlekauff is crazy to think that the Bears could stash him on the PS without another team snatching him away...

Just like AJ Jenkins, this guy could redshirt his first year and work on the nuances of the NFL game / add muscle weight, and come back as a legitimate NFL starter in year two:

Marquess Wilson - WR - Bears

Former NFL scout John Middlekauff says Bears seventh-round WR Marquess Wilson has third- or fourth-round talent.

Wilson earned a character red flag when he was suspended indefinitely from Washington State and then subsequently quit. But in 2011, he caught 82 balls for 1,388 yards (16.9 YPR) and scored 12 touchdowns. The 20-year-old Wilson could be an intriguing practice squad stash for the Bears while he puts some weight on his 6-foot-3 frame.
