I don't care what position we got at 34 but I would like to address CB with one of the next two pics or both. Mathieu and Amerson/Banks/Slay would do.

I'd be fine with Carradine or Hunt at 34

Mathieu, Slay or Banks at 61

Amerson with the next pick

If it's Hunt at 34 I will be livid. I wouldn't start to think about that kid until the last two rounds but I guarantee there'll be enough players that drop that I'll like throughout this draft where Hunt won't be one of my top options at any point.

I kind of expect them to look to trade down from 34 for something next year.

Agree 100%. But Baalke said he "absolutely" knows whom he'll take at 34, so I'm not optimistic.

But maybe he'll get a great offer from a team who wants Geno or whatever QB is on the board.

Speaking of which, is it pretty clear the Jags are taking Geno?

tank carradine provides too much value to pass up. the guy is a beast! top 5 pick if he didn't get injured.

Hunt at 26 y/o is worth less than Smith at 34 and 35 IMO. If we have no plans on resigning Cowboy and Hunt could give us 6-7 (cheap) years at the same level, then maybe. I know it's hard to quantify with so many good players on the board, but we essentially traded a back up QB for a potentially great player this year, and another one next year. Hard to go wrong because we are essentially playing with house money.

I think the pick should Ertz if we don't trade it. Ideal situation is the Jags passing on Geno Smith again though and us getting a trade from someone looking to jump up and grab him.

We still need a defensive lineman but to me a top notch 2nd TE is more valuable to this team going into next year. Unless of course we believe someone that will be there in 3rd or 4th round can be just as good.

The draft is fairly deep at defensive line. John Jenkins is still there and might still be there at 61 along with Hunt. It's not like we don't have the ammo to trade up anyway.

Trade down a few picks with someone wanting Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, or Ryan Nassib and take Ertz there. Then trade up in the round to grab one of the defensive linemen still on the board.

Another possibility is we draft Jonathan Cyprien still. Safety is a position we need depth and replacements at in the very near future. I wouldn't see it as a bad thing if our 1st 2 picks went toward the position.
