If the 49ers go TE tomorrow, I'd go with Jordan Reed.

Good news: The next team to pick is Jacksonville, so thre's no way someone good comes off the board before the Niners pick. :)

Here's my guess on possible trade downs if Jags don't take Geno. I'm thinking teams may be worried about Philly taking Geno.

39 and 106 for the Jets to move up
38 and 103 for the Cards to move up
42 and 100 for the Raiders to move up

That's based on the "old" trade value chart that has been pretty close so far. That would still give us a high 2nd and and extra 4th, which could be used to get us into the mid 2nd and get 3 of the top 50 picks. All hypothetical of course, but if we could address our FS, DE, and TE needs with high picks, then this draft would be a huge win for us.

If they trade that pick, it will be for a pick next year. They have too many this year already

@MaioccoCSN: Jim Harbaugh said Eric Reid was the 49ers' top-rated safety . . . over Kenny Vaccaro.

We won't trade our 34 for anything next year straight up. Maybe move back few spots and a 3rd for next year. All depends on who J'Ville drafts, how much team someone values a shot at Geno, and how worried they are about Philly taking him IMO. Basically what I'm saying, is I have no idea what going to happen :bullshit:

They could trade it for a 1st next year and to a shit team so it can be a top 5 overall pick.

The discussion wasn't about Reid.

?

I was responding to redneck about him coveting the harder hitting S and I responded with liking other attributes, mostly because of the way the NFL is trending.

In any case, I think it was a solid move, especially since there were a few possible teams that would have grabbed Reid before the niner's 31

@mattbarrows: Baalke on whether he knows who he'll pick tomorrow at No. 34. "Absolutely we know." He did not share any names.

What position do you think we go with at 34 tomorrow?

ESPN voters gave the 9ers pick a B.
