Another morning erection for me, that would bring sweet music to my ears. Man that would set the tone for me to have a fabulous summer vacation.

However, we flop with our first couple of picks, the weeks after the draft will be the longest. You know, the typical dry period - the lack of football news season a couple weeks after the draft. I hate that time of the year. I would hate it worse if we flop tonight. Patterson/Austin would change that...

@AdamSchefter: Increasing chatter of SF coming up into top 15. 49ers looking to strengthen an already tough defense.

@JasonColeYahoo: It increasingly sounds like SF wants a DL via trade up with Sheldon Richardson as the likely target.

Richardson would be okay I guess, but I'd much, much rather get Star!

Sheldon Richardson - DL - Player

According to Yahoo's Jason Cole, the 49ers want to trade up in the first round and are targeting Missouri DT Sheldon Richardson.

Sheldon Richardson - DL - Tigers

Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole notes it "increasingly sounds like" the 49ers want to trade up for Missouri DL Sheldon Richardson.

A trade up to pick No. 13 could be ideal for the Jets and 49ers, since the latter would move in front of the defensive tackle needy Panthers. The Jets could then target a quarterback at the end of the first-round. Richardson would line up as a 5 technique end, with plenty of mobility to loop inside or out with Aldon Smith.

The most likely trade partner to do this would be the Jets at 13. That would cost 31, 61, 74, and our 4th-I don't remember the number. It would look like this:

13-Richardson
34-?
93-?
4th round comp pick-?

I think given that situation that Baalke would trade back from 34 into the second a bit to get another mid-rounder. Then its trade up,trade down, trade into 2014 for Friday and Saturday.

I would want us to hold onto either 61 or 75. I personally wouldnt mind #31, #61, #128, third in 2014.

We would still have #34, #75, #93(to move to a second next yr if need be?) #131(comp), #157, #173, #180, #236, #242(comp), #252(comp)

I would love to see a lot of things... Hahaha. I was just about to do another little mini niner mock.

That would make me very happy. I just hope it doesn't cost us our top two picks to get him. Jets need players now. Maybe we can get 13 for 31, 61, 128 and a future 3rd??

I was initially concerned about giving up too much to get the players we want, but we have way too many picks and need impact guys over depth guys. I was more in favor about trading back to keep stockpiling picks, and I'm sure we'll get a '14 picks out of our arsenal, but we are going to be loaded with comps next year...I'm guessing a 3rd, 4th, and at least a couple late rounders. Plus with KC's pick, we're sitting pretty for next year as it is.

Go get us a couple studs Trent!!

hmm is this smokescreen?

Us moving into the top 15 probably not but I do lean on a specific player being named as a target being a smokescreen.

The past two drafts it's been pretty tight lipped in who have targeted so I don't see where the news of us targeting Richardson would come from.

Moving to the top 15 is more understandable because Baalke has probably been making calls to gauge interest and compensation to teams but it's not like he would be name dropping any players he wanted.

@evansilva 22 Apr

RT @isaacl6718 How high could picks Nos. 34 & 61 get a team into the first round? ... Based on revised draft value chart, to No. 9 or 10.

Why not Starrrrr :-(

Let me stop bitching. I remember wanting Robert Quinn instead of Aldon Smith. (Quinn wouldn't have been a bad player in our system though).

So let me continue to root for Star so that Baalke can work his magic in 2013 by drafting another Missouri Tigers fellow in Sheldon Richardson.

Hmmmm. This seems strange to me. I have not seen a mock that had Richardson higher than 10. Unless we are moving to 8 to control the Tavon Austin derby. Then trading back a few picks to take Richardson?

If we are interested in moving to 8 there has to be another player they are targeting.

Millner? Star? Tavon?
