Funny that you mentioned the anchor. I dusted off the boat Monday and went out with my beautiful bride, Lena, to see if we could still catch fish. It's been months since we were out. Anyways, everything went fine. The boat motor started just fine,the boat trailered just fine, launched just fine and the bait and bilge pumps all worked fine.....that is until I filled the baitwell with a bunch of fat minnows and went 1/2 hr. from the spot I cast net them from. Got to my fishing spot and had a baitwell full of dead and dying minnows! The pump kacked! We fished around with some success but w/o lively minnows you can't attract the really fun fish. No fun at all.

On to the bar for lunch, then back to the nest to clean the boat of saltwater, then on to Bass Pro for a new baitwell pump. Should have that pump in today, weather permitting, so we can try fishing again this weekend.

Fishing was so much easier up North! It's this freakin' saltwater....it corrodes everything!

Not gonna lie, I was just about groaning when I saw Pelf marching out to the mound. He was a pleasant surprise though and it was nice to see him pick it up after Corriea had a rough start last time out.

Once again they salvage the last one to avoid a sweep. At least the got that going.

Worley gonna have his hands full going up against Buchholz and the BoSox. Clay has been having a great season so far after a not so good last year. Vanimal will have to bring it all for this one.

Remember that Kevin Slowey guy? Looks like he is finally doing ok this season so far with the Marlins. You been following that one buck? Looks like he's getting quality starts and has a 1.81 ERA. Marlins finally got him a win yesterday against an ugly looking Phillies team. I guess it's good to see that he is doing well somewhere. The Twins waited around a long time for him to come around the way he is now.

Lets hope the right Vanimal shows up tonight and that he doesn't end up looking like this..

That I am, PC! I've been all over him this year, he's the Slowey of a few years ago. Probably being around "Red-Dog" Redmund is good for him. I don't think he liked the way the Twins handled him. That, and he's a few years older and more mature. Either way, he looks really good!

Yeah, I know. I get the history and nostalgia of the park and all but it can get very frustrating at times. I try to tell myself it goes both ways with the monster in play but it seems more often to favor the BoSox. I'm sure playing a bulk of their games there helps some.

It was a good game last night at least. The Twins push it to extras with a bomb from Dozier. Can't say I saw that one coming.

But then it was just a matter of them getting a couple runners on and doinking another off the monster to bring in a run.

At least the Twins can say they were the ones to break Buttholz win streak.

Yeah, it was a good game all 4 hrs 45 min.'s of it! I kept wanting to give up on it and move on to something else, because it was painfully slow last night. Dozier hr was pretty cool he really got a hold of that one. I hung in until the bitter end though. I guess thats what we get when we play Boston or New York.

2 relievers for Boston went down to injury last night, maybe depleting thier bullpen bodes well for us for the rest of the series?
We need a solid long outing from Diamond tonight or we may be in trouble in the bullpen.

Yeah, their bullpen took a big hit there. Sucks for them.

Diamond seems to have been the most consistent pitcher in the rotation. Looking forward to another good one tonight.

BoSox have Dempster going for them tonight and he ain't no slouch either.

I didn't see the game, but it looks like it was a nice win for the Twins.
Plus I won my first bet with the SportsHoopla bookie, by betting on the Twins!
It might be a break even venture though because I also bet on the Wild winning and they are down 2-0 in the second period.
