Correia has been pleasant surprise, like you said Pelfrey not so far to this point. Maybe one outta two aint too bad regarding signing starting pitchers with that kind of track record. Vanimal to be determined.

It sure looks like those rainouts/coldouts affected a red hot Mauer and pushed him into a slump. Time to get out it, NOW!

Yeah, Joe's bat seemed to take a step back the last few games. Luckily Hammer and Morny have come through with some big hits in the meantime. Joe's bat will come back around soon enough.

Hopefully Vanimal can find his groove. He has had some rough spots but has shown that he can get it done when he's on. The jury remains out on him.

At least it is something new with this rotation. I was getting very tired of watching the same show with the same cast of hacks failing to get it done every year.

Watching Correia yesterday, he got in a jam - 1st and 2nd no-one out (I think). Gets out of it unscathed, last year count on at least 2 runs scoring, if not 4 or 5.
The ship is heading in the right direction PC!

PC & jrs - I agree with you guys. Gaining a split with a playoff team after losing the first 2 games of a 4-game tilt ain't bad at all. The Rangers are probably pissed that they let the Twins off the hook.

I hope it is jrs. At least it is head somewhere rather than staying in the same place. This could be an interesting season to watch. Twins might be a major pain in the ass for the division rivals.

Another cool thing about the series is that the first two games were only won by one run for the Rangers. Then the Twins beat them in convincing fashion by five runs in the next two games.

Pelfrey gives up 4-runs in 5-innings and has an era over 7.00. That's just not gonna cut it. Has he had a good outing yet this year? I can't remember.
