Nice to have Diamond back in the rotation. Looking forward to many more starts for him this year.

For sure, for sure! He looked very good, very good indeed. The Twins are surprising the heck outta me and I'll be the first one to admit that I thought they wouldn't be this good so early in the year.

Spring Training can really taint your view of a team because the established players are there to loosen up, not to go blood & guts in games that don't mean anything. The rest of the players are try-outs that simply do not have the talent to make the bigs and they play the bulk of the innings so all we really see is sub-par ballgames. It's fun, no question, but it can't be taken as gospel on how good a team is. I get sucked in every year, though. Think it could be the "chilly ones" I'm pouring down my big mouth?? Nahhhhh!

I have real mixed-emotions about the Marlin series. I can't root against either team, that's for sure. The Marlins are so dreadful, and the fans are so mad at the ownership, that I fear for the immediate future of the team. The two sides could act like children and the team suffers even worse. Not good!

buck, just like I say when the Twins play the Phils, it's a win-win. Right?

That will be more like the World Series. Do these two ever play each other interleague? For me, if they do, it's Go Twins. I imagine for you it would have to be like me and Twins vs. Marlins, you can't play favorites either. With the Marlins I also invoke the sympathy-angle by rooting for the underdog. The Marlins in real tough shape these days....can't hit worth a shet.

The Marlins have been pretty not ok for a while.

At least I don't think they are as bad as Houston. So they got that going for em.

The Marlins have really dis-functional ownership and it's taking its effect on the team as a whole. Until the owners leave on their own or get forced out by MLB it will be very bad for the team. Oddly enough, the pitching is surprisingly good but the hitting is dreadful. I'd be inclined to say the Marlins are the weakest team in MLB right now, I watch all their TV games, they're really weak. Luv that stadium and that town, though!

Marlins got a good young arm they called up to join the rotation. His name is Jose Fernandez and he has been pretty damn good so far. Could be a bright future for that kid. Looks like he starts the first game today for the Marlins so we'll get a good look at him.

Hey buck, maybe the Twins starters will be a nice wake up call for Stanton's bat.

I'm hoping not, but I have heard he is having a bit of a slow start to the season.

PC - Those Twins are on a roll right now! The Marlins......well, they are in a tail-spin and it's a shame that Red-Dog" gets this megalomaniac-owner in his first gig as a big-league manager.

The Marlins pitching stats are absolutely fine, it's that crappy hitting that is killing them. Stanton is going through a terrible slump but he'll break out sooner, or later. Either way, that's not our problem, we're Twins fans and they did what they were supposed to today. They won a tough game. I expect the Marlins to win tonite with Nolasco going. I won't get it on TV, unfortunately. I'd love to watch it.
