2013 MN Twins

Yeah, PC....no matter how much I bich & moan about the Twins I'll never abandon them. I was born & raised up there. Baseball is a funny game too. All of a sudden the guys catch fire as a team and off they go. Who saw the O's & Nats as powerhouses at the beginning of 2012, suddenly there they were and their towns were energized. It's good for baseball, and if it's good for baseball it's good for me. Go Twins! (Please!)

No doubt buck. It's kind of like how the Braves are off to a hot start this year and their fans are all pumped up about it. It's a long marathon season still. Can't decide the year in April!

Nice game for the Twins last night. Correia had a nice start and handed the lead to Burton in the 8th. I was all ready to see Perkins come in until the Twins piled on a couple more runs in their half of the 8th and earned Perk a night off. Fein (sp?) came in and actually pitched a good 9th to slam the door.

I guess those Angels aren't so tough after all.

Did anyone think Mauer might get that triple last night to complete the cycle. I knew it was a very long shot but I was hoping. Would have been cool to see.

And how about that big blast by Plouffe? Hit the second deck!

Yep, Finally we saw a really good Twins baseball game!
Mauer 4-5, good pitching, clutch hitting, Morneau crushed the ball a couple of times.............It reminded me of '09 when we did that regularily. Oh how spoiled we were!

I saw that last night. My initial thought was that he has already made the catch of the year. Again. And just two weeks into the season. He didn't waste any time with that superman catch he pulled off.

I know he won the award for that a year or two ago and he's got a good case for this year for sure. Like you say, it's gonna be hard to beat that one!

He is fun to watch, losing him was a hard pill to swallow.
Hopefully the Vanimal and eventually May can produce enough to help overcome that.

Agree, I'm not ready to give up on Hicks yet, there's just too much potential there I believe.
Last night: he worked out a walk, stole 2nd (no throw), took 3rd on pitch in dirt, scored on Mauers (I think) base hit. Reminded me of a meatloaf song!

I do think it may be a good idea to send him down sooner rather than later to gain some confidence and find his groove again.

I agree on Hicks. I'm hoping he gets it going soon. We are only two weeks in after all. The steal he made was very nice so that is a good sign. They had no chance of even getting close to tagging him on that one. lol

After the shitty series against the Royals and Mets, they came to play against the Angels! Its good to see some life. Hold onto this one and go for the sweep tomorrow.

Well they had to make it interesting, but they got that one.
Any body get to watch the bottom of the 9th on TV???.......all of a sudden the announcers for the angels started broadcasting on FSN and finished the game. Not sure what that was all about?
