I feel that defensively we were strong, but offensively, we were lucky to net three goals. It's nice to see us get some lucky bounces though while on the attack. We're due a lot of those after the first several games of next to nothing.

I agree that Grossmann is an absolute horse and so is Luke Schenn. Coburn is too, he just doesn't throw his weight around near as much as the others, but the guy is huge and still fast. When Meszaros returns and is at full speed, this will have to be the most physical defense in the Nhl. I think that will pay dividends in each and every playoff series, so we best go on a run and make damn sure we get there. It's a shame we don't have Pronger, but we do have a lot of Nhl capable bodies once everyone else is healthy.

Bryz continues to be solid and you also have to tip your hat to guys like Voracek, Read, B. Schenn and Simmonds who are really picking up the slack offensively. G and Briere have yet to really get it going. Once they do, our offense will be formidable.

Wow! I'm disgusted but awaz put it at best the other day about this team. We are just not that good. We are a few trades and or FA away from being a contender again. Two years from now the young guys will have more experience and hopefully we will find a shutdown and puck moving dman. Maybe Bobby Ryan will not be in Anaheim's plans then and he comes east? This game really hurt, blowing a 3-1 lead I knew it wSnt going to hold. Take a deep breath and just look at reality about this team. That is all.

Briere or couturier need to figure out how to play wing. The knuble, briere, fedetenko line is completely useless. Briere and knuble are horrible defensively and knuble and fedetenko are pretty weak offensively. That line does nothing. I know knuble scored, but that line is completely useless.

G needs to get it together. The team needs him to produce. I know he's good on face offs, but I think it's time to put him at wing and have briere center the top line. G was a RW in juniors, put him there and see how it works. It can't be any worse.

Still like the mcginn, schenn, Voracek line. Still like gervais. Worried about Timonen. Not bryz's best game tonight and they lost as a result.

They took their foot off the pedal at 3-1 like we all knew that they would and then the eventual happened....they blew the lead and the game.

Awazy...I could not agree with you more....that 3rd line is a joke. At the beginning of the game I was like "good...mr always creates a 3 on 1 going the opposite direction (Briere) has been pushed to the third line...good. F him" Then as the game started and that line came out I was saying "Lavy put him on the 3rd line to punish him and seeing how he's so freakin bad defensively this is gonna hurt the team more than Danny's play". It's almost imperative that he be paired up with a very good to great two way player or his eventual mistakes will hurt even more than usual!. Frustrating to watch that's for damn sure...


On to Montreal for 2 points.
