2013 Flyers Game Summaries

hopefully it's just a bad game with bad refs and bad decisions. Hopefully tonight we scrape out a win and get some confidence. Its funny how we dont do the three stars of the game anymore hahahahahaha

and i want them to win too, dont get me wrong.. but i think they're more likely to win one in the next 5 years if they take this year and next year to just build up a little bit.. let the kids grow, let the team get comfortable with each other (coach included).. the flyers have been blowing up the prospect pool for two decades and haven't won a cup.. they've been close twice.. but they were also bottom of the league once, and look to be closer to that this year then winning a cup.. i think its time for a change in strategy

i dunno though, if the guys get rolling we don't have to worry about that, there is enough talent on this team to be a good team right now. but i don't want to trade anyone, i think we just let it play out and see what happens.

also, why oh why is G the captain, thought they would have learned. nothing wrong with letting danny b, kimmo, or even hartnell take the reigns for a few years and just let G score.

I'm not even the least bit concerned about Giroux having the C. Slumps happen and he will be fine. The C won't effect him like it did Richards.

I would've been ok with Kimmo or Briere having the C for a year but would everyone be crying about how slow Kimmo is or how Briere hasn't done much. Would everyone blaming that on the C?

Bring up wellwood and sit Knuble. Change the PP. Put Rinaldo or Talbot on with G and Briere and put Giroux on the point.

Harry Z has been recalled. At least he has speed. This season is slowly going down the shitter. Tonight won't be any different IMO. Last night was critical and damn did we suck. This Winnipeg team has had our number the last couple of years. They get Byfuglien back tonight as well.

Wellwood doesnt give you anything on the scoresheet but he does race his ass off for the puck in the offensive zone and create turnovers. Right now we have a dump and watch which lets teams break out pretty easy vs our forecheck. Plus his speed coming back breaks up a lot of plays from behind which creates offense. We could use someone who back check since Voracek lost his passion to do so.
