Thank goodness I didn't waste a trip up north to see this shit. What the fuck is wrong with this team? Has Lavi lost it? I'm pissed! This team isn't going anywhere and will be in the basement before this roadtrkp ends. Unftiggin disgusting display of hockey.

33-18 favor in shots,losing 4-1 after 2.Bryz yanked after giving up 4 on 14 shots.Boucher now in.

A 5 minute major to Holzer at 13:31 mark of 2nd and they get nothing out of it.Oh.and they play Winnepeg tommorrow.

I agree.I think the only solution at this time,is to trade.They need a tough scoring d-man,and a physical winger.

They will definitely have to give up some of the young guys to do this.Our guys on the farm are not the solution unfortunately.Gus is a bust for now,Lauridsen is not panning out,Wellwood seems to have lost focus,...and it goes on and on.

but when jim jackson said that the flyers have a 5 game winning streak in toronto to start the game i knew this one was over.

flyers were cruising in the first and then were slowed down by penalties (either deserved or not) and never came back. face it guys this team is just not that good right now. i dunno if i am on board with the trade for now mentality though.

completely against it at this point.. the flyers have really only put together 2 or 3 games (NYR, TB, and FLA) where they looked like contenders.. IMO they are more than 1 or 2 middle of the road trades away from being a cup contender and since that's the case, i'd rather just let the kids grow and get a nice draft pick

to be honest, i kinda if they were going to make that somewhat rash decision, they would've done it already.. i mean its pretty easy to see that the flyers are in a bad way competitive wise..

carle, jvr and jagr are gone (that's 2 top 6 forwards and top 4 d)
hartnell and mesz are hurt (top 6 forward, top 4 d)
talbot isn't scoring (20 goals last year)
G isn't doing a whole lot of anything (top 3 player last year)

this team is a whole lot worse than it was last year and the carle, jvr, jagr, and talbot parts aren't going to get better i dont think.. G will come around eventually and hartnell/mesz will be back, but even then they're 4 'key' cogs away from last years team, and that team got demolished by the devils

just gotta circle the wagons and improve.. there are lots of good parts of this team, but until schenn/couturier are ready to be headliners, offensively they're going to struggle.. again, i'm not sure why they thought they could count on talbot/simmonds recreating what they did last year, that was a very bold assumption.. even read was a bold assumption IMO, but he's been very solid this year too

That was horrible and we if we get blown out every game on the road we arent going to make the playoffs. Lavi has to get them to do any kind of hitting when they are away. Our 4th line got dominated and really the only 2 players who looked half decent were schenn and Voracek. Lets hope we win tonight and this game gets forgotten. Just stating this for the record that whole game changed dramatically when Rinaldo took that stupid penalty in the 1st because he got checked.

if rinaldo is in the lineup, the flyers should just ask to kill off the 2 minute penalty for 'being rinaldo' at the start of the game.. get it out of the way.. the bias against him is ridiculous.. they're probably going to prevent the guy having an NHL career

and i want them to win too, dont get me wrong.. but i think they're more likely to win one in the next 5 years if they take this year and next year to just build up a little bit.. let the kids grow, let the team get comfortable with each other (coach included).. the flyers have been blowing up the prospect pool for two decades and haven't won a cup.. they've been close twice.. but they were also bottom of the league once, and look to be closer to that this year then winning a cup.. i think its time for a change in strategy
