2013 Flyers Game Summaries

Brunos been good but that's two retarded mistakes the last two games that cost them goals. Someone needs to bitchslap the kid. Otherwise I don't mind the d first approach as o first obviously wasn't working. If the PP does anything they win so give lavy credit for changing the system.

the feeling in the stadium was that the penalty that lead to the tying goal was a joke, anyone have an opinion on that?

I'm a little fuzzy this morning but if it was the call on Rinaldo...they got it right. Zac pushed the dman into the goalie on purpose.

Playing defensively is ok but we will never be the NJ Devils. We can't just score one goal and try sit on it. We need to score some damn goals.

Luke was a monster today, as was Grossmann.

Brayden Schenn had a nice bounce back game. Hope he keeps that up.

Voracek was everywhere. Again, hope that he keeps it up.

Read has been ridiculous.

I dont like Briere with Giroux.

Bryzgalov was okay. I wouldnt say any of the goals were awful, but he just didnt look as sharp as he has been.

not sure why lavy broke up the mcginn, schenn, voracek line late in the game though.. that line was real solid all day.. same for read, couturier, knuble.. though knuble wasn't very impressive today i didnt think

Oh don't get me wrong JJ they still need to try to score more than 1 goal but they shouldn't play too lose gunning for 5-6 every game either. I'm fully confident that if they play tighter in their own end they have enough talent to find 2-4 goals every game especially when their PP is rolling. I give Lavy full credit of changing his system some what do to some roster injuries...they simply have to tone down the run and gun which in the long run will be huge in my opinion.

Yep agreed although Bryz did come up with some huge saves throughout the game.

G, DB and Simmonds had absolutely no chemistry and to fix it he swapped G with Schenn in the third which broke Schenn's line up. If that slight move gets G and DB going I'm cool with it because the other lines were looking good. 4th line looked fantastic too caused all kinds of trouble.

I think Knuble was better seems to provide that vet stability to Read and Couturier. Those guys do the skating and Knubes grunts it out along the boards we'll see how they progress but its allowing Read some freedom and he's looking nuts!

If Luke continues to progress he's going to turn into a monster he's also been very calm with the puck making nice outlet passes...love it!

Getting back to that penalty on gervais it was ticky tack but at the same time dumb why swing your stick at a guys feet this isn't peewee. Anyway he played better sat hopefully lavy straightened him out.
