1 good (albeit a loss), 1 bad start

Short-term its good, long-term it could be bad, all that for a rental... unless they manage to dump Santana and re-sign Greinke

I just replaced my front blinker assembly, swapped out a bulb, and cleaned a corroded connection...

Point is, I was squatting like a catcher for about 15 minutes in 97 degree heat, in clothing that was comfortable...

I certainly feel for catcher now

Indeed. Especially with the added weight of the gear....

Am thinking LAD have already been sharpening up an offer they will make him when he becomes a FA. Will not have to even get a new apartment. Am thinking Greinke is going to want to get back to the NL as soon as he can.

You could have called YT to do the work ... he's used to the heat and squatting ... and not tied up doing anything at the moment.

He wouldn't need to bounce around all over the place or make those annoying double pump tosses back to the mound working on your car though ... so would probably be real efficient at it.

Ouch, as much as I didn't mind YT as a backup, I definitely like Soto that much better, just what little I've seen, he actually has a little oomph in his bat and seems better defensively... hopefully his knees hold up

I think we may be happier with Soto.

Looking to the future ... 19yo Jorge Alfaro is doing well at Hickory which puts him at Frisco in two years or sooner. He wouldn't be the first AA catcher that gets a call to come to Arlington.

I would certainly like to see Alfaro to be challenged with a AA promotion next season, if he can't hang at all, drop him to High A for a confidence boost

Billy Butler a single shy of the cycle, HR, 3B, 2B in his 1st 3 ABs, not sure of the order

Manny Machado, 20 y/o O's SS prospect thought to rival Profar for tops among SS's, tripled in his 2nd AB

Next Year the Houston Astros join the AL West. Right now their Record in the Last 37 Games is 4-33. In All My Years of watching Baseball I have never seen a Stretch like that before, and their Losing again tonight to the Nationals. The Rangers have had bad Teams before at other Times but they have never gone through what the Stros are going through now.

I dunno, the Tigers were pretty terrible a few years back, I don't know if they had a stretch like this but they were pretty awful

I remember the 2003 Tigers. Lost 119 Games. But I don't remember a 4-33 Stretch in there. The Thing with Astros is that its still going right now.

Norm just asked the question about Young that we've all been wanting to ask him.

Major props.

Yeah and Wash's answer was he ain't sitting anytime soon. Something like if Young's ship sinks he will be going down right there with him.
