I've quit dipping before. I could see how it could affect him for a little while, but not this long. Maybe he just needs to get laid.

People's desire and reaction for narcotics is different, we are talking about a former drug addict here

This is true. I fell off the wagon after about 9 months.

That must mean Lewis is going on the 60 day DL, otherwise someone needs to be dropped from the 40 man another way

Double-A Frisco third baseman Mike Olt’s contract has been purchased and Brandon Antder has been optioned to Triple-A Round Rock. To make room for Olt on the 25-man big league roster, Colby Lewis has been moved to the 60-day disabled list.

Mike Olt’s contract purchased from Frisco, Brandon Snyder optioned to Round Rock Postcards From Elysian Fields

Colby Lewis makes room on the 40 man, but otherwise, looks about right, hopefully he actually gets to play unlike Snyder

And i'm hoping Olt gets a shot to play everyday. Or platoon with Moreland or something. No sitting on the bench. Please.

I know he'll strike out alot... its his "curse".... but if the power shows up...and his On Base remains fairly high...I'll be happy.

I'm seeing him having the same role as Snyder, but actually getting to play some @ 3B, 1B, OF & DH

To purchase his contract and start his arbitration clock and then sit him on the is just stupid

This all looks bad for Young, as it should, maybe it will also light a fire under his ass and continues a tolerable string of play from him

I wonder how platooning with Moreland is going to work since Olt is hitting for a higher average against right handed pitchers than against leftys.

But his OBP, SLG and OPS are higher against lefties, the BA is probably just a fluke

Answered your post on the game thread but you are exactly right. Big loser ... PADMY.

Starting Olt's clock and not playing him would be nuts given that you could have kept Snyder up and not played him just as well. He stays up for the balance of the season would mean he would have to be producing because he'll lose his rookie status mid September.

Maybe Perez makes it back up before the end of August too. Can Profar be that far away? The future is now! I am stoked!

According to The Fan, Josh stated that "He wishes he could talk about what is bothering him". Wash stated that Josh's problem wasn't physical. The fan says that Josh hinted that his problem has been that he is trying to give up dip and that it has screwed with his head.

IF trying to quit dipping is his problem, then he is an absolute idiot. You don't screw over an your team and a fan base of millions because you decided to stop dipping RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON, you quite that shit in the offseason.

Now if the dip thing isn't the real problem, and it's just an excuse to cover up a greater issue, than we may have a serious issue on our hands.

The Fan has lost all credibility with me...I avoid it like the plague. I'll stick to the ticket...and espn radio.

I do not believe quitting dipping was/is his issue. Unless, say, he found out he has a form or lip cancer or something. People/Media (the fan) are trying to find anything to "break the story". And the fan's record of "breaking stories" isnt exactly great.

Josh will tell us when he's ready.

Sorry guys, I didn't realize all this had been covered last night.

I need to keep up.

If its giving up something that can affect his health, you have zero right to question

Doesn't matter when he decides to quit, its his choice

Jamey Newberg‏@NewbergReport

Interesting part here is with Olt now in bigs, he's off limits unless optioned this week. @JeffPassan Cliff on revocable trade waivers.
