Don't take it for granted. Some say you'll be able to tell your kids you got to see josh Hamilton play.

Fastest hands I believe I have ever seen. If Josh would lose the grip it and rip it approach or at least modify it there is no telling how good he could be.

It's a shame he wasted most of his 20's. He could have possibly put up some great career numbers.

Was just comparing the interleague schedules for TEX and LAA ...

Schedule is NL West vs AL West.

TEX gets HOU (6), SDP (@3), SFG (@3), ARI (3), and COL(3) ... not facing LAD.

LAA gets LAD (6), SDP (@3 ), SFG (3), ARI (3), COL (@3) ... not facing HOU.

Love interleague play.

I'd say Texas got the better schedule there.

Mantle might be close plus he was a switch hitter. More power RH ... faster bat LH.

I believe Josh has some of the same qualities that Mantle had and vice versa. Both have/ had tremendous power. Mickey was one of the best drag bunters from the left side that I ever saw.

Growing up when we did we got to see a real Golden Age. Mantle was fast. Always remembered him being a giant too ... now I go back and check and find he was only 5-11, 195.

Elvis is bigger. Which really says something about Mantle's bat speed to have had all those HRs.

I believe josh would've been even more dominant in Mantle's era.

With his history ... Josh would have fit in with players of that era ... but could still might been as dominant as Mantle.

Mantle was as fast if not faster than Josh ... an excellent defensive CFer like Josh ... but may have the better eye at the plate. In 1961 when he had 54HRs ... he also had 126BB versus 121Ks.

I think Josh would have a shit ton more walks if he was in a different lineup. But when you have Beltre and Young behind him, and most of the time have Ian or Elvis on 1st, it's tough to make the argument that you should move them into scoring position because you're afraid of pitching to Josh.

Giving Josh a little too much credit there, I wouldn't say he's excellent at all, he's above average, but considering how big he is, that's quite the accomplishment

Hamilton has a better arm and better wheels.

Josh has never shown a willingness to take a walk and probably never will. It's not in his DNA.

This is true, I'm saying if he was in a different lineup he would be intentionally walked more.

2012 attendance has already surpassed the total for the entire 1972 season, which averaged just over 8,000 per game.

I really do love seeing that ballpark full. When it's full that place can get loud.
