An argument could be made that KM was just trying to pull him out of the pile, but I don't really think so.
Unless he was trying to pull him out of the pile one piece at a time.

Man, the Ti-Cats have some serious speed though...Chevon Walker is even faster than Williams.

/Henry Burris had a 156.3 QB rating in that game. A perfect QB rating is 158.3

i thought that would be 3 games easy. that was pretty brutal.

A two game suspension in the CFL equates to a nine game suspension in the NHL, thus it is quite significant. That said, I wouldn`t have objected to three games.

Idk how that could have looked like 3 games considering the history of cfl suspensions recently

Jimenez ends gargiulos career + tries to end brent johnsons career for a grand total of 0 games suspended :noidea:

Interesting to see two retired vets on opposite sides of the ball come to mitchells defense ... Doug brown and rob murphy ... talking about what nonimport olinemen resort to doing to transition from ciau to cfl ... They call it the trenches for a reason ... Lotsa dirty shit going on every play and its both ways

Rip I like mohns

BCLions.com Staff

The BC Lions Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of Greg Mohns.

Mohns joined the Leos on September 1, 1998 on an interim basis, becoming the club's 21st head coach after general manager Adam Rita stepped down. After taking over a 3-6 club, Mohns guided the Lions to the playoffs on the heels of a six-game season-ending winning streak.

The 1999 season was Mohns’ best in the CFL as the Lions posted a then club record-tying 13 wins and their first top ranking in the West Division since 1987. The 1999 Leos went 7-2 on the road under Mohns but were narrowly defeated by a 26-24 loss to Wally Buono's Calgary Stampeders in the Western Final.

Mohns began the 2000 season as head coach for the club before being replaced by Steve Buratto on August 19, 2000, finishing with a 22-12 record over 34 games as head coach.

Mohns was involved in football coaching and administration from 1972 to 1996 before joining the Lions in 1998.* After beginning his career at Oklahoma State as an assistant in 1972, Mohns went on to spend time with a number of NCAA programs and the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs along with several other CFL teams.

lol at the Eskimos - Give up a TD on the last play of the first half and then the Eskies are in position for a winning FG (a rouge would force OT) in the final minute and Jyles fumbles the ball. Love it.

Next up, BC at Calgary (Go Stamps Go!)

Gonna need another miracle comeback tonight (and I don't like the Stamps chances).

/Another BC game, another dirty hit by a Leo...

- yeah, that was a bit off. How can 30 refs miss that one?
- Andrew Harris is turning into quite the stud though.
- Don't recall seeing a rouge on a kickoff in a long time.
- points off turnover BC 17, Cal 0. and that's game.

Jon Cornish is acting like a real good teammate ... "me ... me ... me ... I ... I ... I" ... throwing his hoggies under the bus

Cornish, meanwhile, virtually butted his helmet against a wall of thick flesh, rushing for minus-one yard on six carries as the Lions‘ defensive line continually won the battle at the line of scrimmage and allowed him nowhere to run.

Furious with himself, but mostly with his offensive line, Cornish waited in the medical area, off limits to the media, for a considerable length of time following the game. It was believed he was using the time to cool off and compose himself before facing an onslaught of Calgary reporters.

But the extra time apparently did little to curb his frustration and anger.

"You either have holes or you don't," a peevish Cornish told Vicki Hall of the Calgary Herald. "You either have push or you don't.

"I'm not even worried about it. It's something that needs to be dealt with . . . I mean, I'm trying to do my job. As long as I focus on my job, that's all I can do.”

Yeah, definite brain cramp by Cornish. although the Lions defensive line completely manhandled the Stamps O-line. Still, Cornish has to be smarter than that.
