I'm wondering if Chirinos playing every 3rd-4th game is going to be the norm going forward. I understand catchers need a bit more rest than other positional players, and I certainly want Lucroy fresh for the postseason. But damn, lots of other catchers play more than Lucroy is getting to currently. It's too much of a platoon for my taste, especially considering how great Lucroy is at everything and how mediocre to bad Chirinos is. But what do I know?
Probably thinking about the post season. If the Rangers go all the way Lucroy will catching deep into October.

Chirinos will likely get a lot of the day games.

Can the Rangers jump out early and win going away today. The come from behind wins are good and all, but Id prefer a proper beat down today, and let Harrell cruise a bit

Hitzges just brought up the fact we don't have a single player on our roster we drafted in the 1st 10 rounds over the past 10 years. Pretty surprising.
But how many have we traded away for other pieces that we needed?

Lots, plus we've done exceptionally well in the International market.

I just found the statistic interesting.

We have done a very poor job drafting the past few years overall. Our philosophy needs to change I think. We take too many gambles on guys who have a slight chance to have a very high upside.
