Playing from behind. Again. I can't remember the exact %, but I read the other day that since July 1 the Rangers' opponent has scored first in almost every single game. The number is staggering when you consider that for a league average team that number should be somewhat close to 50% over a large sample size (and the Rangers are clearly better than league average, or should be).

So is Chirinos every 3rd-4th game going to be a thing going forward? If so, I'm very not ok with that.

I just don't understand why our heavy hitters can't also take advantage.

Collectively they are swinging the bat like shit for the most part or watching 3rd strikes, that could be part of it

We're fortunate to only be behind by 2. Although Arenado got a single which drove in a run, the pitch had HR written all over it.

Now let's get our bats going.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but we're going to be on the hook for $9M per year through 2020 for Fielder. Detroit pays $6M, insurance pays $9M, and we're stuck with the remaining $9M.

So you can look at it two ways- either we're saving $9M a year now, or we're wasting $9M a year on nobody.

Spent a little time trying to convince them of this, and that he wasn't "retiring" just unable to play, we can't make him retire, but we don't have to, and won't, clear him to play b/c his neck is jacked, his official retirement won't come until 2020

Someone made note the other day about how many times he's taken a called 3rd strike recently. And here's another example.

Why not give the guy a day off? Or two?
Did you hear Norm this morning suggest that if Desmond was incapacitated for any extended length of time that Profar would play in CF instead of DeShields?
