Beltran is batting .333 with 3 AB against Chatwood. Beltre batting .400. Choo and Moreland batting .200.

Andrus 0/3 and Desmond 0/2 against Chatwood.

All immature ABs but a match up is a match up I guess.

Im glad he isn't going to jeopardize his long term health by trying to continue a baseball career. Hope he can have better health this way for himself and his family. Best wishes to him after baseball. The Rangers will also benefit not having to pay an injured player as well. Best for all IMO

1. Yu is going to test free agency. He's going to get paid....and it wont be as a Ranger. Enjoy this next year+ of him.

2. Fielder's savings...becomes Adrian's money.

It depends on how it shakes out. If he officially retires, I think he forfeits the money ($72m for the Rangers). If he marks himself as "physically unable to play", then the Rangers save half of it.

I feel so bad for Prince. I had the same surgery about 2 months after he did in 2014. I can't even emagine trying to swing a bat. I knew he was probably having issues with it again, by the way it was effecting his play this year. This is a serious surgery for anybody's future. I hope nothing but the best for him.

Not really. That money was spent regardless. The fact is we get 18m/yr coming off the books.

He won't officially retire, a la Albert Belle , we'll have to 60 day DL him, he's got 72 million reasons to not retire
