This is the shit I don't understand. If you're going to grab the guys arm like that then you should be expecting that elbow. Green got suckered into that. Guys getting taken out on layup attempts or dudes swinging elbows to clear out after a rebound I can understand. But that should have been a foul on him then a T on the elbow.
That play is an example of why I am not a huge fan of basketball. Dude was draped all over Drey AND does a flop and he gets rewarded for it.

The refs have too much control in this sport (not that the refs made a difference in the outcome of this specific game).

Is a Gentlemen's sweep the best the Spurs can hope for?

They are brutally overmatched.

But, competing hard all the same.

Lamarcus Aldridge balled out, but the missed 3s were the difference.

SPURS played well enough to win. This was not a final score type of game.
The Spurs dominated in the paint, but unfortunately missed all the other open longer range shots.

I feel a little better about this series now. The SPURS just went big and attacked the paint and got to the line.
Their guards and perimeter players sucked. No perimeter player could hit a shot for SA.

When you go big and go at the rim, you will end up +22 in the paint, and +10 at the line.
The Spurs will win at least one game at home if they do that strategy. They wont miss all their outside shots.

IF the Spurs had even shot below average from distance, they win this game...but they shot freakishly awful.

All true. Congrats on the gentleman's sweep.

SPURS are 33-8 at home....currently on an 11 game winning streak at home
SPURS are now 14-29 on the road....currently on a 10 game losing road streak

They havent won a road game since February 25th.
They havent lost a home game since March 3rd.

They have WTF?? road losses to Dallas, Atlanta, Lakers twice, Detroit, Orlando
They beat GS, Houston, Utah, Minnesota, New Orleans, OKC, Portland at home just in the last 3 weeks alone.

I still dont know how to look at this team.
Golden State is clearly the better team, but San Antonio has never been so HOME/ROAD lopsided.

I think they win 1 at home before being eliminated in game 5

Spurs just can't compete in these series. Frankly, they would have been better off with a better draft pick.

San Antonio is hardly a "playoff" team. Any playoff team should be able to shut them down easily. They have one player and only sloppy ball handling and lazy defense by the Warriors can make them lose to San Antonio. S.A. is by far the weakest team in the playoffs.

You do realize there are teams in the East, right?

The whole situation is ridiculous, but the Spurs have to move on. Sadly their best player now is an obsolete 34 years old guy.

Everyone has beaten Golden State since Curry's injury. Because the Dubs have been focusing on staying healthy.

I wouldn't count on this series being won by the Spurs.

What team in the east is clearly inferior? Maybe Miami, but I'm not sure.

Spurs would beat all of the following for sure:

Washington
Milwaukee
Miami
Boston
Indiana

They would have a chance against:

Minnesota
New Orleans
Portland
Utah
Toronto
Philly

They aren't beating any of the elites as is, but they are far from the worst team in the playoffs.
