Who do you think will win?

I originally had Penn State winning 14-10, but I think they will be distracted by the sex scandal. I now say Nebraska 24-7.

I thought Nebraska would win by 17 before the scandal and I think it will be similar to that.

and still pick Nebraska to win. Interesting.

But I guess it doesn't matter to me. Iowa will still have to win Saturday before I can worry about how Nebraska does. Iowa would probably need to win in Lincoln whether Nebraska loses this weekend or not.

Wow, pretty even in the voting. I expected Nebraska to be getting far more votes.

Now that we've fucked our season up, I might as well go even more into homer mode

I find this game impossible to call.

I think PSU players come out fired up.....for about a quarter.

I don't know how Nebraska players are going to react. Will they have that killer instinct regardless of what's going on?

I think this scandal affects both teams negatively. I have no idea how this is going to play out.

Definitely a very hard call. It's hard to say how much the "coaching" situations will affect the performance, because that's been a clusterfuck all season anyways. As for the players, like starbigd said, they will definitely come out fired up. BUT I can't imagine how hard it is for them to focus on a game right now; I can barely do anything at work, and I'm sure as hell not practicing at Lasch football building.

There is a blue out on Saturday for child abuse awareness (and I really would hope some proceeds would be donated as well...), so I really think ALL fans should keep in the back of their minds that what happened to the many victims is so far beyond JoePa, football, Penn State, and anything we could ever imagine.

If the players are as affected as the public here in Nebraska, you are right on starbigd... the public is totally sickened by this week’s news and are lighting up the phone lines at media outlets to voice their concern on the kids and their distain on the handling of the issues.

Frankly, I don't see how either team prepares to play this game.

PSU may as well not even play. There's not going to be any real practice this week in prep for this game.

Nebraska is going to have trouble focusing as well. I expect a lot of broken plays, a lot of big plays.....but I don't expect a lot of FOCUS.

And for what it's worth, I still don't see how Joe Pa is still employed for this game. IMHO, this (not the crime) is what happens when you go from respecting a man and his accomplishments to outright worshipping him as many do in state college. For all the good he's done, its getting flushed, and that's a shame. I think that without this scandal, they'd have let him die coaching.

JoePa will coach for the rest of the season.

And he shouldn't. He should be dealing with this, this is so far beyond football. He should be distancing this from the university as much as possible. The more he's seen, the more the media are going to swarm and keep this situation forefront.

Joe Paterno needs to do what's best for the university he loves. That's not coaching football.
