I think Brock hit the male gravity issue earlier. For us, what was once ass, is now stomach.

I am on the fence with him, and have been since he landed in L.A. He just does not seem to be all that involved with the players and team to me. But, then again, I have no idea about what goes on behind the scenes. Myabe that makes him a "players manager" then, if only that he stays out of their way, and let's them do their business.

Here is a quote today from new Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon, that kind of mirrors what I was trying to say of Mattingly, and why he may be doing a better job than seen by the naked eye.
