Nebraska's schedule is easy this year.

Nebraska is on Ohio State's schedule and Ohio State is ranked in that.

Interesting they have all four CFP school's on the list. Plus the Power 5 conference champions Washington and Ohio State.

Shows what each conference is made up of. ACC is really strong with Clemson, Syracuse, and Notre Dame. SEC has Florida and Alabama.

PAC 12 has the Apple Cup participants.

Looks like they think there is no parity.

Wonder if Nebraska's easy schedule could help put them on the path towards being prominent again.

Easy schedules don't hurt, that is for sure. But you NEED to beat those easy teams first, then worry about the later stuff.

Right now, most schools want to schedule Nebraska for their Homecoming games.

Not surprising actually, as the top teams in each conference do not get to play themselves to boost up their SOS. The teams who lose will usually have tougher schedules.

So the reason why all 4 playoff teams from last year is because they are only listing the contenders... is everyone missing that point or am I missing something?

Trust me, that fact entirely escaped OP. There are two of them with a chronic case of UW jelly syndrome. Attempting to post things that take jabs at them is all they really have right now. Just roll with it.

The last time Florida played a true non-conference road game outside of their home state was a loss at Syracuse.

In 1991.

Since that loss, Florida's record in games played outside of Florida against non-SEC foes, all of which were neutral site affairs is 6-7.

Syracuse shook them hard against those kinds of games which is likely why they schedule the way they do.

No but you don’t understand, they play Florida State every year. So their OOC is one of the best in the nation. Just ask them.....

Since UF joined the SEC in 1933...(86 years ago)...They've only
played 33 OOC games outside the state of Florida.

Overall they are 15-15-3 in those games.

Against teams with winning records they are 2-12.
They beat Bost Coll 7-0 in 1939 and NC St 7-6 in 1947.

This deserves it's own thread.

Shows what each conference is made up of. ACC is really strong with Clemson, Syracuse, and Notre Dame. SEC has Florida and Alabama.

ACC is really not that strong. Notre Dame is not a member for football, even though they play about 5 ACC teams each year. The Syracuse addition is somewhat suspect.

As for the SEC, Georgia is also a contender, but the Bulldogs' schedule was strong enough to keep them out of the "10 Weakest" list. Texas A&M could sneak into the contenders' list if they pull off an early-season upset at Clemson.

I would think Texas and/or Michigan might also be considered contenders. The Longhorns get LSU in their non-conference schedule, and Michigan catches Army and Notre Dame.

I'm guessing maybe Michigan's schedule was strong enough to escape the "10 Weakest" list. Maybe Texas wasn't really considered to be a contender.

Granted I hadn't look much into other schedules or past the OOC, but actually thought OSU would be lower (or is it higher?) than #10.

Nebraska's schedule looks to be easy. 2019 should be at least a TD improved in year 2 under Frost and very well could be the 2015 version of Iowa.

South Alabama
@ Colorado
Northern Illinois
@ Illinois
Ohio St (new corch)
Northwestern
@ Minnesota
Indiana
@ Purdue
Wisconsin
@ Maryland
Iowa

(No Michigan, Michigan St, or Penn St)

5 of Nebraska's losses last season were by...

5 pts - Colorado
5 pts - Troy
3 pts - @ Northwestern (OT)
5 pts - @ Ohio St
3 pts - @ Iowa

They started 2018 (0-6) and finished (4-2) with the losses being by 5 pts @ Ohio St and by 3 pts @ Iowa.
